du is the conjoint form of de+le
courrier needs the article le before it
de is French way of saying from
so from the courrier become du courrier
Hope it helps. DU in French is tricky for anglophones. remember du lait
everything is "some" in French. Instead of the milk it is better to say some milk, right?
