About the in-video comment - some engines actually do two injector squirts per cycle. Batch fire makes the control electronics a little simpler than sequential injection. (Also this lets you get away with using smaller injectors.) The Oldsmobile designed Quad 4 was one of 'em, and I'm sure there's plenty of others.

As for internal combustion engines in general? Mostly they're glorified air compressors, other than the exploding fuel part that gets more work out than what goes in.

I see a few things wrong as well.. the injector injecting fuel on the exhaust stroke and not only that the intake valves are closed when it injects.

that should be right, cause that way all the fuel is always sucked into the cylinder if all the fuel is in the intake before the valve opens. so its good
