  • Classic theme song

  • I didn't like the show itself, but I always stuck around for the theme song before changing the channel.

  • "NORM"

Cliff: What are you up to norm?

Norm: My ideal weight if i was 11 feet tall

    LMFAO

  • What season had the short version of the song?

  • @ClassicTVMan1981X As far as I know, none of them did. It's just chopped up for syndication... sadly.

  • @ClassicTVMan1981X

That might have been done for syndication, although I am sure that there were episodes that needed additional

"story time" that they used the shorter version as well.

  • what'd we win?

  • lololl nigger fag

  • This theme was after. When the late Nicholas Colasanto had passed away. After Season 3 through the 1984-1985 season. This was now Season 4 featuring newcomer Woody Harrelson. I like it. When Coach on Cheers before Woody Boyd. It would've been great. If the late Nicholas Colasanto was still alive. After Shelly Long departure in Season 5. Coach would've been still around in Season 6 to how things would turned out working for new boss Rebecca Howe (Kristie Alley). I would have love to see that.

  • No one is ever glad i came...

  • "Norm, how's life treating you"

"Like it just caught me in bed with it's wife"

  • @dennisaugusta : Its

Gary Portnoy and Judy Hart Angelo, He wrote "Where Everybody Knows Your Name" and "Every Time I Turn Around" from Punky Brewster

  • that sounds like woody singing the song

  • CHEERS always brings back memories of my college days.

    I miss being 20-something.

The whole cast of CHEERS was awesome!!!

  • @amandal3, I went to Cheers a couple of weeks ago, too... and everybody called me names!

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!!!! everytime the dr. pepper commercial comes on im singing to it.

  • me too

  • This song makes me happy and brings back memeories of my childhood. I love when they play the whole song not just a a portion of it.

  • I just love the sort of feel good thing this theme tune has. Great theme tune for a great show!

  • Thanks.

  • Can anybody please tell me who sings this song?

  • Francis Scott Key

  • What was different between this and 4a? I remember that was about the time that Nick Colasanto died and Woody replaced him, and Kelsey Grammar joined the cast (not sure of the order of those events), but I don't see the diff between 4a & 4b.

  • 4a didn't have the Frasier Crane olde-timey image, or Kelsey Grammar's name. Otherwise, they are the same.

  • the mix of the music is different

  • I remember watching this as a kid. I knew the words back then and loved the pictures. I still love the song now.

  • i asked my 10 year old daughter if she liked Cheers (I watch it now and then). She said, "Isn't that the show about all the people at the bar making fun of each other?" I smiled, "Yes, yes it is."

  • I just thought of another that might be the best that I have to add: Norm plays like he is gay to get the job of interior decorator for Frazier's yuppy friends. Classic!!

  • Greatest Shelly Long Coach Era episode-- Poker game with Harry Anderson. Greatest Shelly Long Woody Harrelson episode-- Bar wars, bowling v. Gary's Old Town Tavern or thanksgiving at Carlas.

Greatest Kirstie Alley era episode-- Sam does the sports filling in for Fred Dryer, Sam joins the corporate softball team or the contest between Sam and Woody to get a kiss from Rebecca. I am laughing just thinking of this!!

  • love this song<3

  • Copy & Paste if the Dr. Pepper commercial

    brought you here xD!

  • well i saw the commercial and i wanted to watch an episode of cheers and this came up lol

  • i love this song!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I thought Kelsey Grammer joined the show by this point.

  • He joined in the Third Season but his credit dont appear until the 5th Season.

  • Was Frasier a regular or recurring character in season 3? Why doesn't Cliff the mailman's name appear in the opening credits?

  • They kept Nick's pic in his memory

  • Comment removed

  • This season is after Nick Colasanto's death in 85

  • who is that guy at the end???

  • a cool guy :D

  • LOL!

  • I always thought he looked a little young to be in a bar.

  • Comment removed

  • No, this is not the season 5 opening, it's season 4.

  • Actually, there was never a theme that featured Alley but not Grammar.

    Season 5: +Grammar

    Season 6: -Long +Alley

    Season 10: +Neuwirth

Season 11: -/+ Neuwirth (depending if she was in the episode or not)

If I get time, I'll post the rest of what I have up to show.
