Can GM still make Pontiac cars? If so make this a special "Pontiac Fire breathing chicken Rebirth" Put the Pontiac shield on it, call it a Trans Am, and see if it steals more sales from the Fords Dodges and Chevies (or is it Chevys?) Or has GM sold all rights to Pontiac?
Word is chevy is going to bring the trans am back since pontiac went under, dont quote me on that but thats just what ive heard, i drive a camaro and if they started to produce this thing it'd be like a twin ass wooping for the mustang XD!
Love the Firebreather. Hands down the best "concept bird" to be made to date. The Kevin Morgan and Lingenfelter have there design issues...but the Firebreather knocks it out of the park in design. Rather than making the mistake of going completely retro, CDC seems to have kept going forward in design elements rather than backwards while still applying cues from previous "bird" cars. I also like the fact that it's not labeled a Trans Am...simply, FIREBREATHER! Which fits perfectly!
@ajpunisher666 I have heard the z28 is gonna have a supercharged 6.2 with around 550hp. If u look in here they have already sent a few to hennesy and got them supercharged they got a vid of one on here comparing it to the gt500
i fuckin love them rims i want some for my 79T/A and i think what gm did with camaro and T/A waz good deal i also have 80z28 waitin on the new z28 what they goin to have in the motor
I'm working on set of Jinn for the next eight weeks. I'd like to get shots of the car, but its strictly forbidden. I may get a chance though if they have it out not on set.
Really awesome! 8D Glad to see so many fanatics re-making the Firebird even though Pontiac is no more. :( Although I do love Pontiac, most of their models were basically clones of other models these days(ex: G6 and Cobalt basically the same car). Hardly any inspiration to get out an original design...
Most were clones but clones with better more masculine lines. I always liked pontiacs growing up its sad to see them go. BTW the G6 and cobalt are different platforms. The Cobalt is comparable to the G5 and the G6 is on the same architecture as the Malibu strangely enough.
Yeah, I agree. I loved Pontiac growing up, too(learned to drive in a 87' Grand Am). I myself have a 98' T/A(they're always so underrated in general). I still love it-always have.
Ah, yeah after I posted and thought about it, and was like maybe it was the Malibu. lol Yeah, when you look at cars(Maybe only American), they've always been clones of other brands' models...
if i was able to buy one of these and had the money to do things i would totally put Trans Am graphics from the 77 model screaming chicken and everything change the wheels to the Year one snowflakes then remove the motor and put in a Super charged Pontiac 400 crate motor and call it a Trans Am
I totally agree if I had the means I would love this with a Screaming Chicken on the hood. I am sure it had a little to do with copyrights as to why we won't see one out of CDC with one on the hood. I personally would like to see either and LSA or LS9 engine under the hood.
