If you have a pair of bobbins that accidentally get twisted while on the pillow, how do you know? With some of the stitches that end in a twist and then you put the bobbins down, the bobbins can get untwisted or twisted again. Can you tell by the pattern? Or is it something like the right (or left) thread is always on top?
I have done aome bobbin lace pieces and this is a very good video fro showing the beginner. Most other videos show extremely difficult works and VERY experienced lace makers but WAY beyond what a beginner needs to see.A very good book for starting out if you can find it in this country (got mine in England) is Bobbin Lace Making - Pamela Nottingham --A Batsford Craft Paperback
I am just getting started with bobbin lace through a book that was given to me as a gift. Actually SEEING the movement of the bobbins makes this easier to understand! I'm looking forward to seeing you take us through some basic lace patterns! Thanks!
Very helpful video! I'm brand new to bobbin lace (as in, so new that I just ordered my first pillow!) and was trying to learn from a book, but being more visual, I needed a good video. . . And I found one in this! Thanks for posting! :)
Thank you, great video

That was a perfect video. Very well done. I liked how you listed all the possible names for the same stitch! It's a lot to learn at once, eh!

I'm very impressed w/ this video. With no crafters who do bobbin lace in my area, I pretty had to learn some things on my own.
Now, I have visual reference to doing bobbin lace, I now feel more confident than before of doing this craft. Thanks for putting up the video!
