You need to enunciate words (it's really had for me too!) and don't be shy, belt out those notes. Even if you're not confident, if you sing with confidence everything is always better : 3
Also, smoothing out the notes would be good too, longing the note here or there. It makes it sounds soft, and gives it a sweet texture.
