Clipmarks is a very helpful site! Much easier than in other social bookmarking sites, you'll see after a very short time, who clips interesting sites. So you'll get informations automatically every day, without reading a lot of papers with 90% nonsense.

nsgmusic, I do often send hyperlinks, but as feltuptv points out sometimes I only want to highlight a paragraph or an image from a link, and Clipmarks allows me to emphasize just the portion of the page that I think is relevant.

Just sending a link sends people to the entire article/story/whatever. A clip highlights the interesting bit. Think of clipping an important paragraph our of a news paper or highlighting part of a textbook, there's value in calling out what's important :)

Note: For scholarly or professional work (broadcasts, newspaper, newsletters, etc.) it would also technically still be plagiarism IF YOU DO NOT DOCUMENT the original source, but still use the picture/writing, etc.

This is true even if you don't claim it as your own. Just so we are all on the same page--and employed! But this IS a GREAT clipping program! Saves a bunch of time. . .

Oh and the difference between this and a hyperlink is that this is a specific piece of the page such as a paragraph, image, or whatever you clip instead of the whole page.
