  • brings back memories.....

  • I never forget this song.. I was in military service, and my first love dance with me in the disco on this song... The great time of the 80´s, the time for the best music forever!

  • I bet you the guy at the end practiced that line about 200 times in front of a mirror, before shooting day.

  • It's a real shame that Kim collapsed in Tokyo Japan at a nightclub and died of cancer of her backspine. When I saw the interview with Mel Appleby you'd have thought the girls would have been given regular breaks from dancing to rest their backs and legs, but no the schedules demanded they dance WITHOUT breaks, and that's what partly led up to Kim becoming so ill and so exhausted. If I were their manager I would have insisted the girls take regular breaks to recouperate and get better.

  • is not life shit sometimes, that a beutifull girl like Mel, dies of cancer, when it should be the likes of chidkiller Ian Huntley should get it, and die in fucking agony. RIP MEL. GOD BLESS.

  • rip mel........

  • video clip by ali eraslan

  • i was 7 when this came out, i remember doing the same dance moves and singing 'we aint never gonna b respectable" my older brother told me off but i didnt even know the meaning of respectable then lol

  • OMG !! I returned to my youth by listening this song (I was 18-19 years old in 1987

it is so far now :-(

Kids and young boys and girls --> CARPE DIEM, time goes by too fast...

  • This dance would make a great flash mob

  • MEL R.I.P ......

  • I don't care if the music back in the 80s was recorded on a black magnetic tape where the rolling against the magnetic reader makes that background hissing sound. The music still is fantastic & today's digital age can't compete with real talent. Great song girls.

  • yep real shame at such a young age, rip mel. you and kim help make up the 80,s.

  • What a pair. The girls, that is.

  • Publicly apologise for my Mistake it was Mel Who died of and not Kim I'm so sorry to all the fans It was still sick what the media did Rest in Peace Mel Appleby Youn and your sister were Fantastic xxxxx

  • One of my favorite songs of the 80's - too bad it was never a hit in North America. Mel and Kim were a British pop duo, comprising sisters Melanie and Kim Appleby. They achieved success between 1986 and 1988 before Melanie succumbed to cancer and died in 1990

  • I like the jogging knockers

  • Take not wannabe female popstars. This is how its done. .

  • Stock Aiken and Waterman, might as well be Kylie or Bananarama still brings back great memories

  • Such great 80's tits!

  • @BigMrMitch :-D thumbs up !!!

  • Hit #1 on the Australian pop chart for 1 week in July 1987

  • i love this song!!!!

  • corr mate..loved this when it first came out

  • Respect a bowl

  • RISPETTO!!!!

  • RISPETTO. SEMPRE!!!!

  • love these two girls when i was a teenager

  • i love those dancing moves :))

  • sad kim died so young

  • @funkymcmunky hello, it was Mel who died. Kim is still alive

  • Which one is Kim

  • I love this song as it reminds me of my much older siblings, so sad about Mel and I must admit between her and Kim I forget which is which...I love Don't Worry...RIP Mel, still remembered today...You know it would be nice to click on to a You tube upload just for once and not find any nasty trolling or expletives used against another poster in the comments section..Thank you for the upload. :-)

  • So funny, I remember this, 25 years ago!!:-)

  • Mel and Kim what two classy ladies they were, talented and sassy at the same time!. Above it all however, was the music they made, Stock, Aitken &Waterman they surely had a class act with these two sisters, period!.

  • Love this song. And no, I'm not gay,

  • One of the girls from 'little mix' was dressed in a very similar outfit to kim's the other day. RIP Mel, brings back fond memories of school discos

  • I never gave a shit about the plastic music, I used to watch those brilliant bouncing funbags while they danced.

  • j'adore.........

  • i hear this song and think of gary

  • RIP Mel, miss you till this day xxx

  • This song remembers me when i was a child!!!!

  • Oi Reynolds Girls, are you watching?

    This is how its done.

  • poor girl died

  • cocksuckers with funny hats

  • @ProvosAttYourDoor it takes one to know one

  • Music videos these days seem to think showing more and more skin is the way to go.

This video proves that the way to go is actually fully clothed, but pretend that bra's were never invented.....sexy as hell =)

  • I remember my older brother had a massive crush on Mel when he was a teenager , as I think most of his mates , did as well !

  • The freshness is refreshing, none of that bling, and pretending to be "ganstaz"

  • Thumbs up if your listening to this in 2011! :-D

  • Love Stock Aitken & Waterman. Same drum machine and synths, but the composition and arrangement was just spot on. Pete is one of my idols, the man is a fucking genius. An arrogant cunt, granted, but it is well deserved.

  • bloody bring bak da 80s n 90s plz. da music is shit now no talent nothing

  • Like us, hate us, but you'll never change us! We ain't ever gonna be respectable! :'D

  • wow, I can't believe I could love a song my parents like. lol

  • this synth pop song sounds like chicago house. after all the first form of house music was influenced by synth pop. i love this song and i love synth pop like styles.

  • Love this song. An absolute classic.

  • sad how mel died when she was only 23 :/

  • Still remember when it was reported that Kim Had Cancer and everyone thought it was a publicity stunt Sick Bastards !!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @Shazz977 Mel became ill with a suspected spinal disc herniation, after complaining of a back problem for several months. Upon returning to the UK, Mel was diagnosed with secondary cancer of the spine, after previously being treated for liver cancer when she was 18, prior to the duo's rise to fame.[1] The cancer was malignant paraganglioma. The sisters withdrew from publicity while Mel underwent treatment, and footage from their Montreux Festival performance was used to compile

  • @misskathrineify Seriously.. It's sooooo fucking sad that 1. you actually know this information and 2. what you share it with the rest of the world. Who the fuck cares!!!! It's a music video, just listen to it and shut the fuck up

  • @marckellyv1 I enjoyed the music and music video ..1 it is my husband who writes it and I hear them as very young and the sin of her life lost to the disease .. I will not say sorry for him .2, the second who writes about her illness on the music video and go after them and was also.

  • @misskathrineify I don't even understand a word of what you just wrote to be honest. Anyway, so long as you're happy

  • @marckellyv1 it's good for me that I'm not good at writing in English so you can not understand. no I'm not happy ... hope you're happy? have a great day to...

  • @marckellyv1 actually what is sad, is how callous and uncaring you are, you are a nasty little individual, please don't ever breed, its already a catastrophe you were even born.

  • @vitaemecha Mind your own fucking business. You're right I am uncaring about shit like this. But that is fuck all to do with you thankfully, now piss off :)

  • @Shazz977

It was Mel who died of cancer. She's the one in the peach jumper. Kim is still going.

  • @Shazz977 it was actually Mel who died. Kim is still alive

  • @Shazz977 - jfyi: it was Mel who died of cancer, not Kim.

  • @Shazz977 it was Mel not Kim

  • @Shazz977 I also remember the sick bastards who called themselves journalists and posed as Dr`s and Nurses to try and get into her hospital room and take photos of her to print in their scummy newspapers.

  • @Shazz977 Yes was sick she died bless

  • aaa good old times :)

  • que buena

  • Gary Tank Commander Brought Me Here XD

  • Hard to believe one of these beautiful girls died over 20 years ago. I grew up with their music, and was heartbroken to hear she had died of pneumonia.

Even now these songs bring on the tears :(

  • Here is a wee little birthday diddy for you Nadia

  • Mel is the girl with the black hat and black trousers.

  • Mel is the girl in the black hat and black trousers

  • Which is Mel and which is Kim?

  • Use to fancy them both. Both tasty.

  • Like this track,good memories.Shame she died.

  • might look a bit amateurish to people that have been weaned on edit cuts and snapshot camera poses. Have a feeling this is where "moves" and "attitudinal" dance started. All the more poignant that Mel left us too early. If you really crank this one up, it'll get everyone on their feet. Mel would've loved that

  • 13 years old and jammin to this, mums laughing;-)! love mel+kim, old music is the BESTT!

  • @nicolecooper97 ditto but I think I was 8 or 9.

  • Wow I was 5 and remember singing this in the back of the car, and my mum was laughin at me, good tymes :)

  • i like their dancing

  • Great song it reminds I caught it on a winter I spent on the UK , 23 years ago, still sounds great.

  • From 'topless model' to top performer. Mel was always such an 'alive' sort of girl... so much fun in her eyes. I remember Kim shaving her head when Mel lost her hair during chemo to make her sister feel less self conscious. Such a waste.

  • Amazing dance music that will always stand the test of time even though its over thirty years old.

Classic tracks will always stand the test of time.

  • @llandudnoboy 2011 - 1987 = 24

  • GTA 3 ?

  • @PsychotikPandora no gears of war 3

  • MEL AND KIM 4EVER!!!

  • I remember dancing with my friends after school and on the weekends to this song...I was always sad about what happened to Mel as she was so young...

  • OMG i sooo wanna bust those moves in a Club!! :)

  • how did she die? I still don't know :(

  • @sexyboyscouser Pneumonia after cancer treatment.

  • Such a pity about Mel. I remember everybody at school loving Mel & Kim when they first came out and how everyone cried when they learned she had died.

  • mel was the one who died its so long ago these girls practically where pop music in the uk, stock aiken and waterman ruled the roost back in the day and simon cowell was their tea boy!

  • Yeah except today's style is a bit more ...rough looking, they looked quite classy...look at the X Factor those kids are down-and-out looking!

  • the clubs pumped with this sound ... R I P MEL

  • Used to be my favourite song when I was lil and still is

  • 33 people are gonna be respectable :O

  • Mel was a phenomenal dancer...

  • Omg ...the eighties and not a stiletto in sight!

  • Wow this song is so legend.. :D

  • @DmitryEight This song isnt shit, wtf are you on? Learn some respect for the classics, they are the foundation of what is todays music.

  • @DarkAvenga

    HA-HA-HA!!!

They are "classics of UK POP"???!!!

I think that this song written from Black Americans lifestyle...

    OMG....

In UK's in the 80th was Depeche Mode, Visage, Genesis, Mike Oldfield, Pet Shop Boys, Peter Gabriel and much more artists who created POP music with melody.

  • @DmitryEight Its a classic, its not 2000 + is it? No.

Although I loved Visage and Pet Shop Boys.

Someone would've started it, and everyone just followed suit. Notice how each decade changed? Music evolved. (into nowadays shit >_>)

  • @DmitryEight

American?! Hardly. This is British - Americans have never even heard of Mel & Kim. Produced by Stock / Aitken / Waterman, the 80's British dance-pop hit factory who did Kylie Minogue, Rick Astley, a Donna Summer album, etc.

  • @aekimchee2 They sound kiwi to me

  • @DarkAvenga I like this song but calling it the foundation for anything is a right laugh!

  • RIP...Mel...you made very nice music...

  • so bitchs

  • 3:02 - and the jugs are jumping.... NIICEE

  • This was a hit when I was in elementary. Used to think it was a song about tea. (The way they pronounce ta- from take, is the same we say 'thee' wich means tea in dutch)

  • @JammyDodgerrrrrr I know R.I.P Mel

  • Both beautiful talented girls and back in the 80s they were so approachable

  • Which one is dead? Shame that.

  • @Jamiethewookie Mel is the one who died, she the sister wearing a red short-sleeved t shirt, a black beret, black ankle boots and black leggings

  • @Jamiethewookie Mel was the one. the one in the pink top

  • "Hey, they're hot!"

  • They took Mel and gave us the music of today? What did we do so wrong? : (

  • à l'époque je visitais les champs de tulipes en Hollande

  • The 0:58 dance gave me a boner.

  • This is where Ms Splosion Man learnt a lot of her moves.

  • isnt one of them dead?

  • @geminator Yes, Mel died of cancer.

  • @BlaiddDrwg2009 hard to believe how long ago now. wow. flash from the past this music. mel if she could come back would never understand the music is still alive and well.

  • It always gets you on a good mood (;

  • my Mum used to play this fucking song all the time! Memorable chorus...too memorable some might say.
