I am in bad times right now but if things get better I will get a Kimber Grand Raptor II and do the same mod. Only film it so folks know what I am doing here.
@survivaleveryday It is electrical tape to over ride the grip safety. It should only be done for competitive shooting sports and those very well versed with thier 1911. In a self defense situation it could turn into a liability no matter how much a person is in the right. I heard they will take a gun apart after a self defense shooting. If you smith any parts they can use it against you in a court of law. Also even using hollow point ammo will effect a person's defense in a life or death shoot.

I have seen that some 1911 owners have some issues with mags. Is that electrical tape :)
