Bottom line, you "discovered" something geologists have know about for the better part of a century. Continental shelves can and do regularly fall into ocean trenches.
I should have said Turbidite Deposit - from wiki -
"Turbidite geological formations have their origins in turbidity current deposits, which are deposits from a form of underwater avalanche that are responsible for distributing vast amounts of clastic sediment into the deep ocean."
Here is a paper - "The giant Ruatoria debris avalanche on the northern Hikurangi margin, New Zealand: Result of oblique seamount subduction"
The volume involved was 3100 cubic kilometers. Have a look at figure 4.
Giant submarine landslides (megablock avalanches) are a normal phenomena of megathrust earthquakes, but only soft sediments at the Japan trench collapsed into the trench. These megablock avalanches form olistostromes, chaotic melange and turbidity deposits - it's a very well understood phenomena of accretionary prisms, known for over 100 years!
The 9.0 earthquake's submarine avalanches cut several submarine communication cables. Yes, there was submarine landsliding, but onshore Japan is safe.
I like how people are trying to say that this guy is a conspirator, deceiving the masses like a terrorist, and all he is doing is using general facts to state a self made and emphasized HYPOTHESIS. Fuck, you damn Americans are so hell bent on your selves that you take any sign of something you disagree with and automatically assume it's trying to kill you.
Get over yourselves. Seriously, this guy is speculating and you're all afraid he's trying to destroy your fucking government.
The only thing that makes me laugh is the comments from the tiny bopping college kids who think they know everything out there. You may be right, others are thinking the same thing, and this is all new to the world. Thanks for putting this video up.
The Fluxgate Magnetometer for the Gakona HAARP Array was going nuts two day before the Big Earth Quake In Japan, and one day after. The effects of HAARP is well documented and not theory.
Everyone jumped on this understanding, so that have since shut down Magnetometer at the Gakona Array.
This guy doesn't know anything about geology. The earthquakes are caused by plate tectonics, not by some hypothetical empty volcanic tunnels being filled with water (the tunnels are not empty).
Japan is located on the edge of four tectonic plates: the Eurasian, Filipino, Pacific and North American plates. When the Pacific plate is subducted under the three other plates, this giant movement causes the earth to shake - earthquakes.
@afiqdeist ... uh .. they are all posted below the latest video.. look in my uploads about a week ago... this is the first hypothesis i had.. now its a theory..
@supportdisclosure WHAT THE FUCK MAN!!!?? WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT!!!?? DAMMIT thanks for sharing that, I'm gonna pass it along immediately and hey everyone - look at it. FUCK, stupid goverment idiots or illuminati, who the hell they think they are for making such things? Now I'm starting to believe the 2012 theory. This whole earth is gonna fuck up because of these stupid rednecks...
@dutchsinse What are the lava tubes filled with now? Air? Lava? Vacuum? Please understand, I'm not disagreeing with your theory - just wanting more explanation. Obviously, something is going on, but your theory of water filling in lava tubes doesn't make sense without some knowledge of the void that is being filled.
@dutchsinse People. You all know this, but for the innocent "passer by" ;) : Japan is not sinking. Nor will it ever during any of our lifetimes. Or the next 20 generations. liquefaction appears wherever there's an earthquake and the soil conditions are right.
@dutchsinse I'm disapponted that you put down helgesk. He's right about plate tectonics., I dont know if you understand much about plate tectonics but in a subduction zone the ocenaic crust (which is very thin and made of Basalt) slides beneath the much heavier continental crust (which is made of Andesite). the oceanic crust is therefore sliding underneath the island of Japan hence why there it is such a seismically active area (the exact same reason for high seismic activity in America.
Japan is on what is called a plate boundary and it is complicated because some areas ush together whilst others pull apart. It is highly likely that this process of subduction is rearranging the eastern boundary of this plate. The volcanos vent the pressure that builds up as part of the seismic activity so it is unsurprising that there is volcanic activity alongside the tectonic activity. As the oceanic plate is subducted into the mantle e pressure has to be relieved.
It is highly unlikely that Japan is going to collapse catastrohically into the sea, even if the island is going to disappear it is a very gradual process that happens over geological timescales far outside the human experience. Given that the Japanese are having to contend with the aftermath of the recent earthquakes and Tsunami's and now the ongoing situation with Fukushima do you think that it is really helpful to spread this kind of fear for them?
There are different types of plate boundary convergant; divergant and transform Japan sits straddled across four plates with different types of boundary so the seismic situation here is highly complex you could check out these web resources which may assist in informing you a bit better - h t t p : / / w w w. platetectonics. com/book/page_5.asp
and h t t p : / / cais. gsi. go. jp/Virtual_GSI/Tectonics/Niigata_Kobe/niigata_kobe. html
my sources by the way would be kinda hard to list here as I studied a degree which is where I learnt about this stuff I did put a couple of web resources for you to look at in my previous comments and the instiution I got my degree form was the open university - who explained this subject area very well. I looked at your channel a lot and I have previously been quite impressed with some of what you say but I have to say this vid has made me think again - sorry!
I never claimed they could only be caused by tectonic plate movement. I'm just saying his hypothesis is pure groundless, uneducated speculation, and it's absurd and ignorant to call anything in this video "proof".
I have looked into your thoery's of the HAARP systems - spent hours watching your videos and many other sources - Iv come to an unbiased conclusion, Your current views on how this system is used and its effects are simply impossible. I hope this does not make you mad, but the truth, sometimes, does hurt. That will be the end of my investigation on this.
See if you can post a link showing the honeycomb structure under the island. It would seem your hypothesis rests on that, so that would be pretty important to demonstrate. And / or maybe some other links showing similar structures or collapses elsewhere in the world. Thanks.
Ezekiel 25:10 I will give Moab along with the Ammonites/Japanes to the ...that the Ammonites/Japanese may not be remembered among the nations: the name of that ... who, having overrun the children of Ammon, shall then fall on Moab bye bye you heathens!
The whole area you show is a subduction zone where the pacific plate slides under the Eurasian plate. when the pressure released during the earthquake/tsunami the pressure shifted to other stress points along the fault line. The biggest danger right now is how much pressure shifted along the fault line that runs SW to NE along the southern half of Japan especially SE of Tokyo. if that one pops off the earthquake could produce a Tsunami that would hit the metro Tokyo area endangering millions
You mention that seeing the aftershocks confined to one segment is not what you would expect to see on a fault line. Actually, this is exactly what you would expect to see. The fault line (the area of subduction) is split into segments, and these segments move independently.
I'm also not sure about the volcanic vent hypothesis. Why would they be empty? Vents are conduits for lava, ash etc to escape. Once the pressure drops, so material isn't extruded, some remains in the vent and solidifies.
Isaiah 14:13-16 "As for you, you have said in your heart, ‘To the heavens I shall go up. Above the stars of God I shall lift up my throne, .... I shall go up above the high places of the clouds; I shall make myself resemble the Most High.’ “However, down to She′ol you will be brought, to the remotest parts of the pit. . .Those seeing you will gaze even at you; they will give close examination even to you, [saying,] ‘Is this the man that was agitating the earth, that was making kingdoms rock"
Your explanation makes no sense to me. Volcanic tubes and vents are filling up with water, and the additional weight is making other tubes and vents collapse?
But as the tubes and vents are under water, why would they be 'empty' in the first place?
@BrotherDevious because the vents WERE sealed so to speak .. something allowed water to "break the surface" so to speak and begin filling the INTERIOR empty vents..
something disturbed the sea floor enough to allow new water to pour into old vents
But how did the vents become 'empty' in the first place? Are you suggesting the vents were originally above sea level before they were 'sealed', and now, millions of years later, plate subduction has dragged them below sea level? My understanding is that the Philippine plate is sliding under the Eurasian plate, not the other way around.
@dutchsinse "so to speak", a hypothesis needs to be testable. You cannot test this hypothesis, however, a theory cannot be disproven. Only time will tell. The something that you referred to as disturbing the sea floor to allow water to pour into the old vents is most likely Earthquakes as the tetonic plates shift.
@kadekix The "plates" don't shift, they spread apart from each other. Take a look at the "Expanding Earth" theory, it sure as hell accounts for more scientific facts than "Plate Tectonics". In science, do we go with what explains our observations, or what doesn't involve re-writing physics as we know it?
@dennis738 And what is your observation? Have you seen the Earth expanding?
Making a fancy animation of the Earth expanding is not scientific proof - it's called pseudo-science. Just like this guy tries to conceive others into thinking he's proving something, simply by making a good speech.
Claiming that the World's scientists are hiding the truth from us, for whatever reason, is just conspiracy theory. Some people want to see patterns in everything, but the World isn't always that "simple".
Hey dutch, I've noticed the past two days increased activity in Northern California, and then this afternoon its showing two, back-to-back, 3.7s. Also, the Japanese Honshu aftershocks are decreasing in number but are still coming in at 4s and 5s, with a 6.1 this morning. Are you familiar with Omori's law? Can you tell if the Japan aftershocks are somewhat following this law?
atm, 11:25 central time .. 733 quakes. The link to the animation of this great as in being able to see this happening. But it's also stunning that it's not sunk further imho. And no.. tis no letters behind my name. But.. I can see the depth of these.. and do wonder just how much more that ledge can take. Even if only a portion goes under Japan.. well.. think about it. It's worth the time to stop and watch it happening from 11th through today.. and.. be aware how real the hypothesis can get
I'm no geologist, but neither is this poster. I very much doubt that the "entire country or half a country" are being supported by that ridge as if it's a load baring beam. I think these are normal aftershocks and they'll eventually settle down, which frequent quakes occurring as they always do in Japan.
It will not stop until it is swollowed up! It is coming to America in California and along the Mississippi River which will turn like Japan as all of th midwests nuclear plants will go off like domino's! The east cut off, Californis sunkin by JP/Chevron oil explosins as yellowstone burst wide open! The Mississipi will run back wards & we will have tsunami's along our coastlines! Wars & rumors of wars & earthquakes in divers places are upon us! America will be destroyed soon!
wow, we got some profession geophysicists here..lol....guess we'll wait and see...california will sink as well....water level rising constantly, ice meting, land sinking,,,hmmm..sounds like the apocalypse...sweet...get ready for the next era of human history..the one without greedy illuminati types running evrything, instead humans who care about each other trying to survive in peace...
I have been watching this enormous amount of quakes since the 11th too... I am amazed we are not reading this in the news. It's fairly alarming and I fear you are correct - why such an enormous number of quakes centred in one region? it must be destabilising. scary stuff
By the time you reached 2:00 I figured out that you are wrong. That is a subduction zone. Japan is being pushed UP, not collapsing. But nice vid anyway.
@ChaosmanOne Not only that, but if you'll take a look at the "depths" section of the quake chart, you'll notice that they are all around 40km DOWN (the quakes that is), not along the ridge as you speculate. I'm not trying to be an asshole, but you are wrong.
Good hypothesis! I see that others have joined you. A lot of people feel safer in denial, but you can't continue to be in denial when you have no water or food or electricity! In Chattanooga they are having a "Great Shake Up" event on 4/28/11! A lot of other cities are, too. First I have heard of it, but Huntsville is trying to attract peeps for the weapons of war machine so it wouldn't be good for the real estate industry that has become glutted.
''a shifting of weight inside the Earth is taking place, caused for example by the creation of gigantic lakes by damming and by creating hollow caverns due to the exploitation of petroleum and gas, etc. And thereby unnatural inner-Earth movements are created, which also lead to unnatural tectonic effects and cause earthquakes and volcanic eruptions''. You might be onto something here, you seem like one smart dude. I wish i had some friends like you.
Study carefully the blue area of the ridge to the north of the island. Open your mind and forget what you've been told about techtonic plates. See where the crust has been "laid back", as if something had emerged long ago and split the crust? If indeed a massive release of material had at one time been ejected from what we now consider the Pacific ocean, it likewise would have "wrinkled" the crust to the west, while pulling apart the crust to the SW. It seems the Pacific floor is rising.
I think you and Ape65 are both right. It seems the wall is crumbling and sliding down at that critical point. Brilliant work on your part. I look forward to every new video you post. Any haarp beams aimed at Japan just prior to the big quake? Obviously it is a geologically active area, but did it get a human nudge?
Or compare it to the activity from OTHER major earthquakes that have happened.
I am not saying that your "hypothesis" is wrong; I don't know. I am just saying that after watching your video it hasn't been "proven" to me that what you are saying is true.
I don't know if this video proves what he is saying at all. I am not an expert on seismic activity or plate tectonics and therefore seeing a bunch of earthquakes happening in different places up and down the east coast section of Japan where the big one happened doesn't really "prove" anything to me. If you wanted people to believe you than you should have shown why this kind of activity DOESN'T denote something like what happens regulary after an earthquake.
Are you able to view archives for the Banda Aceh, Indonesia quake to compare the aftershocks? It would be interesting to compare the aftershocks of these two events, if possible.
I sent you a message about predictions of Japan falling into the ocean starting a chain reaction that sinks California into the sea as well. Please, read that message and share the content of its information as I am going to as well. Thanks! This really is some worrisome times.
I don't know if the entire crust below the island be made up of volcanic vents, I haven't seen it. And maybe this happens only in that zone and not along the whole plate edge because there the tension is greater in this point where the 3 plates meet. I don't know, I wish I knew why. I like your hypothesis Duchsinse, that's why I subscribe. But if we all agree on 1 hypothesis, we may miss the real think, everyone should discuss, search and share what he found out, so wecan together find the truth
Hey, calm down guys. I just wanned to make a point from what I'm observing here where I live. I live on a Island as well, and I'm just observing what I'm seeing with my naked eyes. I'm not a geologist, but I can see that the tide last night and tonight is at least 1,8 meters higher than usual, and I see the difference in pictures of the moon that I take with my camera, now there's a bit more details. I'm also looking for the truth here, and I hope for a positive outcome in Japan. Peace everyone!
i agree with dutch here, might take a few months this corresponds with believes underground and what he say.He has been right with every thing he has sed do far!!!
Thanks for posting Dutchsinse... question.. do you know where I can find a way to simulate how big the wave would be if the upper half of Japan sinks.. as I think that this is what will happen? I am in Hawaii.. so kind of would like to know... we have high mountains here... but still! Thanks for any info!
Thanks for posting Dutchsinse...... just wondering do you know where we can get a simulation of how big the waves would be if the upper half of Japan does sink? I think it will too and we are in Hawaii..... so of course I want to know who big the waves would be locally... so I can plan... we have very high mountains here thank goodness
@ToraAlbatou .... Oh and I suppose you believe that all possible information should be kept from the citizens don't you ? Isn't that what Japan did when commenting on its reactors ?
@valioyamaha ... You aren't a very good listener are you ? Dutch said that most of the plate on the Northeast coast of Japan is honeycombed from previous volcanic vents. When these vent walls rupture into each other, the land above it will fall and shoot the water back out of these vents. Kind of like when you take a McDonald's ketchup pack sitting on a talbe and apply your fist to it.
Japan is being uplifted by the ongoing subduction of the Pacific Plate, and is still being built by occasional volcanic activity. If your idea were true that area you are panicking about would already be sinking. Its not.

"re-writing the book on geology" - I'm utterly flattered.
Clearly, you are very ignorant and unwilling to learn. Keep preaching - it's a great laugh for everyone else.
You base everything purely on your imagination and total misconception of geophysics. Did you even attend geology classes?
Answering these simple questions disproves your hypothesis:
How should a tube filled with liquid rock suddenly burst empty?
Why would Japan suddenly slide 200 km east?

reallybigname 10 months ago
@dutchsinse People. You all know this, but for the innocent "passer by" ;) : Japan is not sinking. Nor will it ever during any of our lifetimes. Or the next 20 generations. liquefaction appears wherever there's an earthquake and the soil conditions are right.
SankaraChe 10 months ago
@dutchsinse I'm disapponted that you put down helgesk. He's right about plate tectonics., I dont know if you understand much about plate tectonics but in a subduction zone the ocenaic crust (which is very thin and made of Basalt) slides beneath the much heavier continental crust (which is made of Andesite). the oceanic crust is therefore sliding underneath the island of Japan hence why there it is such a seismically active area (the exact same reason for high seismic activity in America.
nikkinomad 9 months ago
part two of my comment:
Japan is on what is called a plate boundary and it is complicated because some areas ush together whilst others pull apart. It is highly likely that this process of subduction is rearranging the eastern boundary of this plate. The volcanos vent the pressure that builds up as part of the seismic activity so it is unsurprising that there is volcanic activity alongside the tectonic activity. As the oceanic plate is subducted into the mantle e pressure has to be relieved.
nikkinomad 9 months ago
part three of my comment
It is highly unlikely that Japan is going to collapse catastrohically into the sea, even if the island is going to disappear it is a very gradual process that happens over geological timescales far outside the human experience. Given that the Japanese are having to contend with the aftermath of the recent earthquakes and Tsunami's and now the ongoing situation with Fukushima do you think that it is really helpful to spread this kind of fear for them?
nikkinomad 9 months ago
part four of my comment:
There are different types of plate boundary convergant; divergant and transform Japan sits straddled across four plates with different types of boundary so the seismic situation here is highly complex you could check out these web resources which may assist in informing you a bit better - h t t p : / / w w w. platetectonics. com/book/page_5.asp

Your explanation makes no sense to me. Volcanic tubes and vents are filling up with water, and the additional weight is making other tubes and vents collapse?
But as the tubes and vents are under water, why would they be 'empty' in the first place?
BrotherDevious 11 months ago
@BrotherDevious because the vents WERE sealed so to speak .. something allowed water to "break the surface" so to speak and begin filling the INTERIOR empty vents..
something disturbed the sea floor enough to allow new water to pour into old vents
dutchsinse 11 months ago
@dutchsinse
Thanks for taking the time to reply.
BrotherDevious 11 months ago
@dutchsinse "so to speak"
kadekix 10 months ago
@dutchsinse "so to speak", a hypothesis needs to be testable. You cannot test this hypothesis, however, a theory cannot be disproven. Only time will tell. The something that you referred to as disturbing the sea floor to allow water to pour into the old vents is most likely Earthquakes as the tetonic plates shift.
kadekix 10 months ago
@kadekix time will tell if this is correct.. new reports 2 days ago.. moved 24 feet to the east.. google it
its going to sink down the ridge.. im telling you.. it is collapsing.. regardless of "plate tectonics".. the ridge is collapsing..
dutchsinse 10 months ago
@kadekix The "plates" don't shift, they spread apart from each other. Take a look at the "Expanding Earth" theory, it sure as hell accounts for more scientific facts than "Plate Tectonics". In science, do we go with what explains our observations, or what doesn't involve re-writing physics as we know it?
dennis738 10 months ago
@dennis738 And what is your observation? Have you seen the Earth expanding?
Making a fancy animation of the Earth expanding is not scientific proof - it's called pseudo-science. Just like this guy tries to conceive others into thinking he's proving something, simply by making a good speech.
Claiming that the World's scientists are hiding the truth from us, for whatever reason, is just conspiracy theory. Some people want to see patterns in everything, but the World isn't always that "simple".

I wish i had some friends like you.
wicklum420 11 months ago
Study carefully the blue area of the ridge to the north of the island. Open your mind and forget what you've been told about techtonic plates. See where the crust has been "laid back", as if something had emerged long ago and split the crust? If indeed a massive release of material had at one time been ejected from what we now consider the Pacific ocean, it likewise would have "wrinkled" the crust to the west, while pulling apart the crust to the SW. It seems the Pacific floor is rising.

Or compare it to the activity from OTHER major earthquakes that have happened.
I am not saying that your "hypothesis" is wrong; I don't know. I am just saying that after watching your video it hasn't been "proven" to me that what you are saying is true.
dustintml 11 months ago
I don't know if this video proves what he is saying at all. I am not an expert on seismic activity or plate tectonics and therefore seeing a bunch of earthquakes happening in different places up and down the east coast section of Japan where the big one happened doesn't really "prove" anything to me. If you wanted people to believe you than you should have shown why this kind of activity DOESN'T denote something like what happens regulary after an earthquake.
