Richard Daley - now that was a real American mayor. We could use more of him, and less of the incompetent buffoons that are running most of our cities.

This was all part of Daley's political machine. He would court law and order Republicans just to stay in power. Any reliable source will tell you the police outside the convention outnumbered the rioters by more than 2 to 1. Some of the mob thugs he hired to oversee the convention's security brutalized Dan Rather on national television after Rather told them to let go of him. DALEY OWNED THE STREETS OF CHICAGO. HE WAS A RUTHLESS MOBSTER.

This mayor is the same as all the evil people who are currently in power.
