Here in Spanaway/Puyallup area we had about 7 inches of snow, then we had over 36 hours of non-stop freezing rain. We ended up with over 1inch of ICE on everything. Downed trees, thousands of branches, power outages, etc.
Funny thing is, we had freezing rain for over 24 hours before the National Weather Service even made mention of it or put out the warning.
We had it way worse than Seattle here in Bonney Lake. About a foot of snow, then the ice storm hit. Trees fell and the power went out everywhere. It just came back on last night.
We had a ice storm last year- knock All the power out everywhere, and we all sat around for seven days with a propane heater and an AM radio.. But we made it...but I bet it's going to happen agian huh?

Seattle seems to have been well placed. It's more likely than not avoids the worst of the weather. 8 miles north we had about 5 inches of wet soggy snow.
