STAGG MYRA CYMBALS ARE VERY GOOD QUALITY CYMBALS AND THEY ARE VERY CLOSE IF NOT AS GOOD AS SABIAN AND ZILDJIAN CYMBALS....YOU CAN BUY THEM FOR A FRACTION OF THE PRICE AND THEY WON'T DISAPPOINT...I OWN A COMPLETE SET OF STAGG MYRA CYMBALS,HATS,CRASHES,RIDE AND CHINA CYMBAL AND THEY ALL DELIVER AS GOOD AS THE HIGH END ZILDJIAN AND SABIAN CYMBALS I HAVE OWNED IN THE PAST
nnnahhh, if you want quality hi hats for a cheap price then go for amedia, ive got some amedia galata 14" hi-hats, and there sweet! i got them for £97 new, i had some zildjan K custom hi-hats, they cost my parents a bomb and i honestly think there even close to the quality of the amedia's, im not complaining im just trying to help fellow drummers out! cheers, sam.
i play a fair bit of heavier music and im after a new set of cymbals. recently stagg have caught my attention from when i got a Furia ride. which range of stagg cymbals should i go for? im after crashes, chinas, splashes, hats and a ride
@TommyOwnzU If you are into pretty heavy music then I would advise getting the Myras. I had a pair of Myra hi hats for a couple of weeks untill I realised how powerful and cutting they were! Perfect for gigging etc but not so good for trying to practice. In an attempt to keep my neighbours from getting rather upset I have decided to sell them and stick to my much quieter Zildjian ZHTs. If you're interested then just type Stagg Myra Hi Hats into the ebay search bar and mine are the only used ones
All the Stagg cymbals sound great to me (SH, DH, Furia and Myra) except for the splashes... they all have a china-ish sound and I really don't like that :S
Everything else is great. Even the low-end lines are nice and very cheap.
I bought a Stagg SH 14" medium crash for u$s43 and a Stagg DX 13" Hi-Hat for u$s58 and I can't complain at all. Zildjian Plantet Z, Sabian SBR and Paiste PST3 are way more expensive and (in my opinion) sound like crap. Stagg is definitely a very good option :)
That's what I mean, you don't give other reason's why you don't. I don't like Zildjian or Sabian because I went and tried them out at my local drum shop and I didn't find any that I liked, even high end expensive ones. I tried out these Staggs and was blown away at how good they sounded for the price.
If you are a serious musician and do care a lot about how you sound don't just take it from endorsers because half of what they say is business. When i heard about Stagg I went to a store and checked them. Their cheapest line the SH sound and feel a mile better than A custom fast crashes...atleast to my own ears and taste. how much did I pay for a 16 SH Regular Thin Crash? US$55
Brand is just a subliminal advertisement. I don't say they are bad but there are some that is better in generic line.
@LoyBiscaro I just got back from my local music shop and I bought a 16" SH regular medium crash for 97$CAN, and the 15" reg crash is 61$CAN and they sounded better than all the Sabians I tried out that were 200-250$'s, and I was even with my GF and my friend who both agree'd.
i like those hi hats but i dont like almost all the rest of stagg's products. on those crappy stagg products (not these hi-hats) i think they should call stagg, fagg instead of stagg

PHILLIESrPWN 2 years ago
so are zildjian, and all the other brands out there selling there cymbals 4 lik £300.
stagg are making good cymbals at a really good price
anarcy7777u 2 years ago 13
Theres hardly any money to waste with stagg cymbals that the point, 160 quid for A customs, or like 50 quid for stagg.
SkunkyMonky420 2 years ago
i'd rather spend more money to get good cymbals
PHILLIESrPWN 2 years ago
That's cool, because in today's economic situation spending more money is always a good idea.
