they are separated by singing level. you usually can't tell in the video but the dark blue shirts say "alto" under the PS 22 chorus design while the lime green shirts say soprano. I think it might go Baritone(lowest), Alto(medium) soprano(high) then at the very top is falsetto(usually a guy trying to sing in a high pitch "female" voice

@flowergirl1313 No, I'm as sad as you. I can get really nostalgic when watching videos of older groups. Silly me. That's why I especially love the reunion-videos (remember karinna, brielle and ally?that was fantastic!!).

Azaria, that birthmark of her's kinda fits the role as well. I like the hip moves she did toward the end. I wonder if Mr B had them watch a video of the bangles doing this song. Almost like they were trying to imitate what the original group did.

a busy year has likely made it difficult for mr. b to work with as many soloists as in years past. but in fairness, he has given a fair share of the kids their time to shine individually this year considering -- azaria, denise, marquis, abigail, brianna, jonathan, kayla, & more. the soloists selected always meet the demands of their respective songs. that said, the emphasis should be on the full chorus anyway. it's the group dynamic that makes this project special.

the joy these kids express, their total lack of guile is really wonderful, I always find myself watching the kids in the back, just being free and enjoying themselves as they sing or sing-along if it's a solo-really neat to have a teacher harness this -really enjoyed you all on the Oscar telecast too-you were terrific, best to you all, Jim
