Great speech by Obama to a Rock and Roll icon. I grew up with Springsteen, my mom was and still is a great fan and goes to every tour, if not in the Netherlands then somewhere else no matter what. I always had a place in my heart for the Boss. But after my mom invited me to come with her to his Seeger Session tour and his latest, I have to admit: Brucer is "The BOSS"

This is the US that I from a European (swedish) perspective love. Quite the opposite from the Bush-era. But remember; Springsteen is not only an american artist. He is also very important on a global level because he tells the stories that we all recognise.

Presidents and kings comes and goes but the Boss remains.
