Spiritual in that they have a greater respect and reverence for the beauty of nature and ideas that explain it. Kaku has said that the fundamental difference between religion and science -- that science makes claims that are falsifiable and is amenable to evidence.The man of science is inherently a skeptic, meaning that evidence backs up every claim

makes no sense... i remember a few years back seeing a rare small glimpse of the northern lights when i was down in texas. it was on the news, and everything, but a few years later we are still alive and surviving, and whatever damage the solar flare that caused those northern lights did, was resolved and forgotten.

What happens if the earths pole switches polarity while the sun launches a massive sun spot storm? Say on April 14 to May 2012 just as an example both these things happen. Will it weaken the magnetosphere?. Then what. This has happened before the polarities of the earth switching and the earth is do. 2012 in the closes point in time that the sun is closes to the center of the Galaxy which is a black hole. The universe is an ocean and it has waves. One ripple and shit can happen.

I respect this scientist. He knows what he's talking about, and it's basic astronomy. How foolish to ignore this. The worst case scenario would be devastating to the global economy. Best case scenario- if we prepare and nothing that big happens, then we are ready for the next cycle of solar flares.

Oh for petes sake yea nobody denies that these events do occur but you cant put a date on them, but what worries me is a major disaster that causes alot of damage a huge loss of life, like a comet hitting the earth or this giant solar flare that would make all our lives miserable or how about a nice polar shift wouldnt that just make our day.
