  • I was blessed enough to have him as a Sergeant Instructor at OCS. He knew how to make those days miserable.

  • I served with him In Iraq He Is my Buddy!

  • Where was this? Parris Island or Camp Pendleton?

  • @CRyan6969 MCRD San diego

  • @MGSDORITO wohhhh calm down there motard...ur talkin to someone who went through boot camp and earned the title too, so dont talk to me like i dont know shit about DIs and boot camp. it obviously wasnt for a documentary and was prob for the educators workshop. im sure they do give 2 cents about what people think of them especially when it could costs them their career, like cussing on camera when they arent "supposed" too, and everyone knows they dont follow that "rule"

  • Holy shit, that's Chad Murch as the DI with the eye patch!!

  • I remember being in this room, and I was like, WHAT THE FUCK did I get myself into this time.

Great 4 years though, wouldn't trade it for anything.

  • @Otherien i know it's not a "real" organization...SMH

  • @kingmigget really? so i wouldnt know that since i'm not in the Corps? I'm just saying Drill Instructors usually don't go all crazy and cuss in front of the camera bc of the stupid "politics" and mothers of america BS. They are a bit more careful of the things they say and do when a camera is directed at them

  • @redtib2003 Mother of America isnt a real organization...just sayin

  • @redtib2003 your actually wrong. Despite all their screaming and shoving and spitting drill instructors are model marines, they dont have a need to shout at some with a camera its ill rational to them unless the camera crew is taking part on the marine recruit experience, how do i know this? when i was in boot camp we had a camera crew taking pictures while every single Di including the Senior where destroying are squad bay and later where just chatting with the camera crew like normal people.

  • @redtib2003 and they where cursing and blowing up and all kinda of shit Drill instructors only act accordingly as to what the situation is. because i guarantee you they dont give 2 cents what the fuck you or any one thinks of them for they have earned they place amongst the Marines. so if theirs is recruit training yea theyr are swearing up and down because their not going to relax, and if its some kinda Di documentary then yea they will be chill lol

  • Thats the same drill instructor that was doing the same thing when I went to boot.

  • the guy talking the whole time (ssgt Murch) was one of my sgt instructors at OCS this summer lol

  • @ftball451 mine too.

  • damn im surprised the SDI said "put the FUCKIN bag up Aye Aye Sir!" in front of civilians and their cameras

  • @redtib2003 why? he's a marine lol, its what we do in the corps.

  • i remember him when i got off the plan in San Diego haha thats the day shit got real haha

  • ROFL- "I think the drill instructors are just a bunch of clowns."

  • @Kgomez1023 that's whats up

  • July 11th Sandiego

  • @20chris50 same here man

  • i shipoff to SD in one week, i cant wait to go and get some!!! Oorah!

  • 3 weeks left..

  • May 9th

  • I am super exited to ship out on Sept.12

but when i watch these videos.....

  • BUT THE FUCKIN GREEN BAG UP!!! 1 more year i cant wait

  • yeah that i met that drill instructor when i was a recruit and he scares the shit outta me. i also met him at san diego airport in the uso when i was a marine. even though he was cool with me and joked around and gave some advice he still was scary!

  • I remember helping to set up the receiving room when all the new recruits came in as the drill instructors acted like we weren't there and eye directed us to leave so we wouldn't interfere with the initial shock for the newbs.

  • Yep! IT was something like then back in the day, too! :)

  • Hated that in 2 O'clock in the morning

  • these then-recruits ought to be Corporals by now

  • Im bringing my SS card, Drivers license and a list of addresses to wright home and the clothes on my back and THAT IS IT lol

  • damn look at all that shit on the floor. Why do they bring so much stuff with them to boot camp. If I ever go, I'm just bringing me and my wallet or whatever is absolutly necessary.

  • @extrememan123 Well some people travel from all over God's green earth to get there. I spent about 2 days in Hawaii before I got there. So, I think some people bring all that they had is a good idea.

  • @extrememan123 you need stuff for the night at the hotel, but then again you could just leave that stuff with who ever comes to watch you swear in.

  • @extrememan123 all you need is a ID your social card, 20 dollars, and any paper work you get from Meps and your set, also you can bring address book and a bible and that's pretty much it.

  • @23PornNBeans

i don't think they are FUTURE Jarheads nemore if u notice the date of the video lol :P

  • OOH RAH Future Jarheads!!

  • Man this brings back memories. Went to boot in 91.

  • @sas103 Recruitment, working out. not sure what process you were thinking of. but im definately not going to consider myself a marine before boot. if ur confused on the army/marine thing, i completely left dep for the army and recently dep'd for the marines. i leave may 5th for boot

  • @chamberlain101 you are not a marine until after recruit training, and if you claim to be one before you get the title you're a fuckwit. hopefully by now you have earned your title, friend.

  • hey he couldnot count

  • the one with the eye patch was my drill instructor

  • Receiving was hell.

  • I miss those days.

  • Ship out in 6 months, starting to get the "scared shitless" feeling, oh boy.

  • @Aarondephysic stay in bro, i was going to go into the army as eod but a ton of shit went down in my family so i backed out before bootcamp, theres no penalty, but every day since i get a stronger urge to reenlist, two weeks ago i began the process for marine recon. just remember man, i have the same doubts u have and so does everyone else before they head out, its all about how u meet the challenge, remember their teaching u valuable shit for your job thats it.

  • @chamberlain101 how did u begin the process when your not even in the marines

  • I am seeing gold, red, and blue! SEMPER FI!

  • dudes,i went through this shit in 1975,that was a fucken picnic..not! 86 recruits started and 57 graduated,at the end, the senior drill instructor climbed on the bus and handed me the 3rd phase flag.everyone let out a roar. i did'nt have a seat on the bus but i did'nt care.i've still got it...plt.3013.once a marine.also served in gitmo,as armorer!

  • Ahhhhhh. Good times. San Diego Sept '03- Dec '03. Love it. Fuck the civilian world. A bunch of whiny, crybaby bitches. Yat Yas motherfuckers!!!!

  • That room.....that room...........that room.

  • @BatousaiofChaos

    hahahahah fuck that room

  • I remember this moment like it was yesterday. The thought of that room will always bring me to a cold place.

  • Im remember that mother fucker, he scared this shit out of me lol

  • Good times!!

  • What would happen if you lost your green bag?

  • @HollywoodKendrick You're Fucked

  • "I'm a United States Marine. We look like soldiers, talk like sailors, slap the shit out of both of them...You got the right to say what you want. We got the right to punch you in your fucking mouth if we disagree."

  • @TehMasta

  • @danoeloth

That guys probably a pogue, he aint killin nobody, anywhere.

  • a bunch od fat american brainwashed idiots

  • @gaggotgaggot go fuck yourself........

  • @dalastdon1432 shut you fat ass you fucked up american peice of shit.

  • @gaggotgaggot yeah okay, because you know what i look like. pathetic. the only thing thats fat on my body is my cock, not my ass

  • @dalastdon1432 that explains why all the other soliders are going around with big asholes. you dirty fucking cunt

  • @gaggotgaggot No, it explains why you have stretch marks around your mouth

  • Can I bring absolutley nothing to Boot or will I get ripped on for that?

  • @NCOProductions for Marine Corps boot I mean...

  • and this is why the airforce is the best branch of the military, look how hard that guy is on them

  • @wakeNbakePIZZA HAHAHA That's a funny joke there buddy.

  • @mazdamaniac90 USAF leads the way the tip of the spear

  • @wakeNbakePIZZA that is just what makes the Marines the most bad ass people in history...the guy is "hard" on them to make them stronger

  • not an eyepatch, its holding his campaign cover on, look at other DI's, they have the same thing too idiots

  • @chevyracer4 I'm pretty sure the guy who posted the video knows that is a campaign cover strap, but he probably does have an eyepatch on. The guy who posted the video WAS there, so he would know if he had an eyepatch or not

  • Hey, im 16 enlisting on my 18'th for USMC, is there anything ican do to start getting ready? like certain workouts or something?

  • @akguitar94 im enlisted now, i leave for paris island august 23rd, best way to train is just be able to do the following, the initial strength test requires this : 3 mile run - 21 minutes (although aim for the lower, try for like 19-20 mins) 5 dead hang pullups or more if you can, get a pullup bar for your door. (pullups are really easy to get better at even if you can only do like 2), be able to do 100 crunches in 2-3 minutes, even though 55 is the minimum...marines dont do the minimum.

  • @akguitar94 ..You can preapre yourself now by reading through the web site that is linked on my profile page.

It goes to a web site for future Marines and you really should read through it.

  • Oh one of the first DI's u see has an eyepatch, lovely

  • no, no. thats the drill instructor with the eye patch, heard stories about him when i was recruiting, gave him the name Sgt. Pirate.

  • it's not an eyepatch...it's just what's holding his head cover in place

  • British Reserve Navy > Marine Corps

  • yes thats an eyepatch hes featured in a dvd called making a marine

  • Nazi salute??? lol

  • That was my drill instructor and he is a BAMF. And no he did not get a dishonorable.

  • Hell yeah at recruit training he scared the shit out of us I had the misfortune of running up the stairs turning the corner and there he is, I though I was going to die lol

  • oh god how this brings back memories

  • Thats not an eye patch... that's his strap for his cover.....

    semper fi

  • Its not a eye patch..... Its the strap for his cover morons....

  • Its you. Having been there twice, I understand every word he is saying. Also, he is not wearing an eye patch. What you see is the chin strap from his cover.

  • @Debo6623

what did you do to be there twice? were you recycled?

  • Why would you assume I did something to have been there twice? Actually, during the exit physical, my med docs were mixed up with someone else's that had an issue. I was discharged and went back in.

  • Comment removed

  • @Debo6623 it would appear he IS wearing an eyepatch, which is visible in the second video

  • @540DuckHunter That's definitely him. I remember his voice.

  • Is it me or does it seem to be you can not understand one word he is saying??

  • Ahh fond memories......man how fast four years went. Kinda miss every once in awhile!!

  • 0:03 made the hairs on my arms stand at attention...........

  • cool

  • west coast and there double aie's lol

  • short video, I wish it were longer, but thanks for posting it! My son just graduated from there last month, and every minute of every day I was so curious as to what he was going through. I wish that I would have taken the time to look up videos like this on youtube so that I could get a glimpse of what he went through in 'real time' - sort of. I'd seen some on a show called "making a marine" which was cool, but this video is great. Thanks!

  • you should check out this documentary called ears open eyeballs click, it is the best way to see what boot camp is like without actually going through it

  • alot of shit was cut out of that movie, tons. Thats a cakewalk introduction to bootcamp. People who think they know Marine Corps boot camp from just watching this movie are wrong.

If you want to truly find out what its like, go yourself. Everybodies opinion is different

  • @chickenhunter2005 , well......you get a taste of boot camp, but you will only taste REAL boot camp when you go through it with DIs that don't have cameras all over them. That being said, that DVD you are talking about is a great DVD.

  • Haha, thats just receiving, you didn't even get to see what goes on after the first few days, Tough stuff.

    Semper Fi

  • the guy with the eyepatch is no longer ther. when i was there he threw a cup at a recruit and the recruit had to get stitches

  • @sanderson78 are u fuckin kiddin, damn did he get a dishonorble discharged

  • no im not joking at all he threw a piss cup at a recruits head when they were giving out the drug tests the recruit had to get stitches. the rumor was he got a dishonorable but I dont know we never saw him after recieving

  • @sanderson78 but the piss cup is plastic isent it? unless he fuckin went all out close up, was it a hard cup or hard plastic lol

  • at least you can understand what the DI's are saying, when I was in that room the DI at the podium already had that frog voice they get and it was hard to hear the orders when you add that to the voice in your head saying "WTF WAS I THINKING!"

  • @DspecDJ

I remember that, not to mention the adrenaline rush and the moment of things your just acting on instinct alone. Good times though. :)

  • Man is that place ever uncomfortable. It freaking sucked in recieving

  • how'd u feel in those 48 hours?

  • @stevieray09 , You're tired, you're a jittery nervous wreck, you have no voice, you are half deaf from one to FOUR Drill Instructors yellling an inch away from you.. Remember that these recruits will be up for almost three days straight and they get off the bus at 2:00 in the morning. It's a pretty traumatizing experience.

  • @jtp0321 i remember it in wooden baracks on PANAMA street

  • ill remember that experience for the rest of my life

  • umm...if anyone saves him it'll probably be PJ's...lol

  • hahah lol DamnHippies1 your probably not an aviator anyways hahahah if your plane crashes the only people who are going to save you are probably marines or seal team lol XD

  • damnhippies1 u can recognize people dont fucking like u airforce for lil gay vah jay jays that are pussys that dont wanna be in teh battle they wanna fly over the battle

  • I remember I accidentally brought my civilian work badge and a bag full of coins. The badge ended up in my eye, the coins all over the floor.

  • Airforce sucks!! hahahahaha

  • lol

  • @Snowyplanet90 Shut the FUCK UP YOU SCUM! Have some god damn respect!

  • @Snowyplanet90 i bet ur one of those marines who thinks the marines are the best and most elite fighting force in the world if im not mistaken

  • @Snowyplanet90 Haha, right, that's why we get to fly for free, sit in comfortable chairs, not get dirty, and blow shit up more than a Marine blows shit up. Not insultin the Marines, but Air Force get's more explosive and is equally important to the Marines and Navy. Now the army.. Hahahaha.

  • @Snowyplanet90 You mean Chair Force? LOL

  • @Snowyplanet90 each service does its own part....ive been in the airforce for well over 5 1/2 years and respect each services contribution, just remember we are all on the same side

  • @Snowyplanet90 each service does its own part....ive been in the airforce for well over 5 1/2 years and respect each services contribution, just remember we are all on the same side

  • @dwil4730 Unfortunately, he won't remember that since he's one of those robots that thinks that the Marines are the only branch that does anything because of their gung-ho attitude. I, on the other hand respect all branches because they serve under the same flag. By the way, thanks for your service. The Airforce is rarely ever given recognition for the sacrifice they give for their country.

  • DamnHippies1, don't try to make the AF into some badass machine, it's not. We all know it. Besides your A-10's and C-130's, you can go fuck off.

  • aww the memories.

  • maacin05 , wtf do you mean" airfoce...i'm going to leave it at that". It take massive balls to fly a giant machine and to fly in enemy territory , cause if something goes wrong in your plane , you're really fucked if you have to bale out. And airforce pilots save infantry every fucking day , so shut the fuck up. And hey , someones got to do it.

  • Yea someones gotta do it, but for Marines 90% of our air support comes from Marine aviators and Navy pilots....

  • air force? lol im guna leave it at that.. 6 weeks of "boot camp" still civilians. hey all you future devil dogs boot camp tips- aye sir yes sir no sir, dont look around, help the recruit next to u when hes fucked up or ull all get fucked up, work out on your own square away time, dont argue with eachother cuz thats all you have, sound off everywheree or ull get a comment like "do you want to fuck me bitch?" "no sir" "then stop whispering to me bitch" maintain ur bearing they say some funny shit

  • actually its 8.5 weeks and it is now combat based.

  • acually its 9 weeks 2.5 months

  • Ha! I was in that room when they filmed this. That staff sergeant with the eye patch yelling the orders is one angry man. I was shaking from the adrenaline (at least that's what I tell myself).

  • My air force drill instructor ssgt weimer sounded like that guy with the patch. looked a little like him too.

  • i remember the marine with the eye patch, fuckin good times

  • Holy shit! thats staff sergeant MURCH! ! ! he was only a Sgt. when i was going through boot; plt 1130 Delta Co 12/09/05!

  • NO SHIT!? I was in Dirty D at the same time :D

    1135.

Didn't you guys see SSgt Murch (before his wound) in that moto video they showed us on Thanksgiving before the Patriot. I heard some rumor about that shit and always wondered if it was true.

  • haha i guess you can call it home. my last name is Lucas, but if you hear of someone called Finnacle, stay the hell away from him. He is guaranteed to to get you thrashed. he is some fuck up in my RSS but he ships the same day.

  • That totally sucks. A few of my friends are leaving on your date. Both of which are good. If this finnacle character decides to get me thrashed then I shall see about a blanket party for him. Oorah. Those usually motivated the recruit to pick up or have another party thrown.

  • HAHAHA HOLY SH!T you guys are talking about Finnacle! i know that guy Phx, Az Metro RS! xD this is priceless! but yeah to you L3G4CY360 that guy Finnacle is an idiot. Avoid at all cost.

  • ha ha.... theres a bum pirate in the room with an eye patch..... eyyyyeeeeeeeee may tee

  • That DI needs to ARTICULATE.

  • lol he is

  • i dont see an eyepatch, in fact i find it hard to believe someone with one can be a di, let alone be in the Marines...

  • if you watch receiving2 you can see it on him

  • It's the drill instructor standing next to the podium. Trust me, I recognize his voice.

  • it is true.

  • cant understand shit hes saying!!!!!!1

  • ssgt murch. is one badass. :)

  • please no one get offended.... what is he saying?

  • "Put the GREEN bag up, you're done... aye aye sir! PUT THE FUCKING BAG UP AYE AYE SIR!"

"Next thing that's gonna go inside this green bag, is any frickin' recruiter business cards you brought with you, do you understand that? If you brought any stamps, those stamps are gonna go inside the green bag, do you understand that?"

"All recruiter business cards, all stamps, green bag, thirty seconds, do it now aye aye sir! 29 28 27 26 25 24... 6 5 4 3 2 1 you're done, put 'em up, aye aye sir!"

  • lol

  • I remember this. The DI with an Eye Patch threw me against the wall when he ran at me, freaked me out for a sec.

  • You should post a transcript of this in the description section.

  • DONT PISS UR D.I. OFF

  • does this count as day 1 in boot camp?

  • it counts as reciving or"rhase"days
