Sorry to upset you all, but there's no way Hunt can be blamed for this accident. Pay attention to the replays. He does move his foot away from the path of the goalie, but at the point of the collision, Cech's head is a good foot off the ground. Stephen Hunt's a short man As far as I can see, it's a 50/50 play- there's no telling who would have got there first. Cech could just as easily be criticized for risky goalkeeping! The defenders had that run of play covered. Shame, but not Hunt's fault.

I think that this is Hunt's fault... He must easily have been aware that Cech was going to get there first for a long, long time, because it was very obvious that Cech was much nearer to the ball. And Cech had the ball when Hunt was still a few yards away, easily had time to jump over.

As a goalkeeper myself, I find myself in situations like these very often. Even at my level all the attackers have the decency to jump over me, let alone attempt to knee me in the head.

If you've ever played, you know that once the GK has the ball, you simply jump over him. Not only did Hunt not even attempt to jump over him, he intentionally lowers his knee into Cech. The lowest of lows to do that to a goalkeeper's head. He easily could have avoided that and chose not to, instead attempting, and succeeding, in severely injuring the keeper. Total scum
