My favourite horse from the days when HOYS and Olympia were free to view. Anyone got footage of another favourite-'Marius'- the first of Caroline Bradley's superstars? (Before you all jump down my throat I know that the brilliant John Whittaker partnered Ryan).

Wow, was that a WIDE water obstacle!!

He was one fantastic horse - only 15.3! I suppose that was an average size back then, but it makes him a midget by today's standards... haha

@matrixmare - no there are "still" small international show jumpers.

Size does not matter it's whats "Inside" that counts.

An Irish bred pony called Stroller jumped at the 1968 Olympics and won an individual Silver medal when ridden by Marion Coakes.

No Olympic course was ever small.

I do sometimes wonder what happened to good ol' hunters like this on the eventing circuit. Now all we tend to see is very fine horses, bring back the hunters!

Fantastic horse. Another great character that is sadly missed. At least he died doing what he loved and where he loved to be. R.I.P.
