They believed in aliens and things like that and one day they thought they got a sign from the aliens saying some sort of rapture was coming and if you did what the aliens said you'd be born again all rejuvenated and stuff. The only way to escape the rapture was to commit suicide so they all drank cyanide. Read about it on Wikipedia its really interesting.

I don't know, that's just my interpretation of the video. The only problem with pendulum is that the music is so great that the music videos can't compete with it.
