  • seems chode is in even the best of us hahahaha

  • @sad21we I think the name "SAD" is spot on. It seems you are cassi10009909 with a different name. Just leave John Rowles alone, I am sure he has never done anything to hurt you!

  • wish i could see full footage, you won't see him this good

  • very cool.

  • @caasi10009909 My mom always said if you can not say something nice about somone then best to say nothing, maybe you should think about that, as you for some reason, think it is ok to post nasty comments on this and other John Rowles clips.

  • Great Clip!

Me, Myself, I. Just Me, Myself & I....

  • Wow...does this bring back memories...I am one of the dancers this footage...there was four of us and I was the tallest of the four. Had a fun time with John and the girls....wish I could get more footage of this show for keepsake purposes. Loved my years in the Islands...did speak to John a few years back and he sent me a CD and a video from Australia!! Great guy and fun show to be a part of.

  • WOW! My mom is in the first shots in the spot lights!!!! She and John were very close friends over the years in Hawaii. John - do you see my mom ... Gay! Clear as day with that wide smile!

I miss you greatly!!!! Stay in touch!

  • I have heard a whisper he maybe returning to Honolulu next year, many people here would just love it, they have been waiting along time

  • Is he or is he not ! Coming to Honolulu in July?

  • The Heppest Cool Cat in Town!! Rowrrr!

  • My wife fell for Johnny's music around the time he was in Hawaii doing this. I'm taking her to the Christmas Romance night to see John in a couple of weeks. It's not Hawaii, but my love deserves to be treated like a princess for a night & you don't often get the chance in NZ.

  • Sounds great, maybe one day you will get to Hawaii, but NZ is a beautiful country, have always enjoyed my visits there.

  • @pratoby Thanks. I do hope to get to Hawaii. We'll be doing my best to get there to see John Rowles next year. John Rowles in Hawaii is something special.

  • Yes it would be very special, to long coming, I am lucky to remember him in the 70's and80's when those type of shows were big in the 5 star hotels, sadly those days are no longer with us.

  • Unfortunately, it has been cancelled for whatever reason. I hope it can be rescheduled at a later time. John must be so disappointed. My wishes go out to him.

  • I was coming from New Zealand to see John in concert in Hawai'i, you can't imagine my shock horror at the let down, twice.

  • Really feel for you, hope you were able to get a full refund. The same newspaper here on different days had different reasons for the cancellation, so who knows.

  • Thanks for your reply 12th Nov'. '09 refunds all finally just sorted, went to Auckland & Palmerston Shows, looking forward to Hawai'i 2010.

  • Yes, it's been postponed until December, or so his facebook page has said.

  • Hope so, the theatre has a strict no refund policy.

  • NO SHOW, off tomorrow to get refund, really feel for the people who have arrived or are booked to fly in. Rather short notice.

  • Me to, visa problems, it is only a one night show. If he does come back would not worry about going. You think they would make sure visa's were in place before selling the show.

  • This gentleman is returning to Hawaii in November to do a concert.

  • Yes I believe it is Nov. 8th at the Hawaii Theatre in down town Honolulu

  • We have our tickets and really looking forward to seeing John back performing here.

  • We have ours also, should be a great night.

  • It seems we will not be having the show on November 8th?

  • actually some of the later footage looks like it is at the Hilton Hawaiian Village...

  • I agree, but no ever mentions the venue, they only ever refer to the Royal Hawaiian

  • He's seductive enough just singing, but when he plays the guitar, it is extra special. His voice and guitar have a unique affinity. Maybe it's his Maori side.

  • I am sure it is the Royal Hawaiian, been there many times.

  • I have worked at both the Royal Hawaiian and the Sheraton, and I am sure it is the Royal Hawaiian, and I checked with a friend who would know and she said it was the Royal Hawaiian as she can not remember John working the Sheraton.

  • If I'd been in my 20's then, I would have flow to Hawaii to see him. He was quite a babe in the 70's and 80's.

  • Are you sure this was from the Royal Hawaiian? I used to lighting in the Monarch Room for John's buddy Frankie Stevens. Looks more like Infinity at the Sheraton nextdoor. Anyhoo, John had the most freakish memory. I met him at a Tower of Power concert amonst hundreds of people and he still remembered my name two years later at an airport. Unbelievable man.

  • If he ever did this again in Hawaii, I'd fly out to see him all the way from Australia and bring my family! Sadly I've never seen him perform.

  • Fantastic! Thankyou for sharing this. He was and is still and wonderful showman.

  • I have great memories of John at the Royal Hawaiian,I wish he would return to Hawaii to perform, as he looks and sounds as great as he did back then.
