  • Lol do u think my parents will let me have a bat ?

  • omg its sooo adorable!! is he biting his wing?? ouch

  • It looks like a mini man

  • SOOOOOO CUUUUUUUTTTEEEEEEEE *o*

  • will it get bigger

  • Why is it doing that to its patagium

  • @BlastTheBat And why didn't my comment post earlier. Its tagged as a pipistrelle though, a member of a different family than the relatives of Desmodus rotundus, which live in like central and south america. Its the species like Desmodus rotundus that kinda suck and give the rest of chiroptera a bad name.

  • i want a pet bat. how do i go about getting a healthy one ?

  • Your blog is down. Sad I would have liked reading it. Taking care of this baby is a special blessing that you will remember for a lifetime.

  • you should let it go. if you keep it, it will only live for about a year. but its potential lifespan is approximately 25 years. if you really loved it you would let it go.

  • i found a bat idk what to do is the size of 2 quarters and it wont fly away i have it in a medium size bird cage with water and a towel im going to get some insects for it its an "Evening Bat" what do i do i don't want it do die!

  • ADORABLE!!!!!

  • That is so cute! <33

    Sorry, couldn't resist XD

  • I also want to adopt a bat!

    They are so cute!

  • oh jst look at him, he is plyin with his little wingy thing...hehe..cute! i lov vid

  • I'm loving the Diggory!!

  • aaaaaw! soooo cute u should release it after it learns 2 fly tho.....

  • professional dit and professional dat, seriusly its a dying race and it doesnt help to release one that cant handle itself outside and as soon as it becomes house warm its even sillyer to release it just so it will die >.>, and as far as those "Professional institutions goes" sure they handle hte animals.. for a while but theyr organisations, they live for payment not for free random andimal handleing >.>

  • Ummmm... I don't believe that's a "vampire" bat just because of it's face. I live in Wisconsin. Our bats have blunt noses and protruding ears. But they eat our local vampires... mosquito's!!! LMAO

  • thats a vampire bat, protuding ears and a blunt face,

  • That little pinky needs a wildlife professional to see to its nutritional needs (if you can't get it to its mother). Bats can't be kept as pets because they need to fly free and eat 1000's of insects to keep alive every night. I noticed that this is an older post. What happened with the little one?

  • lol. read the about this video. beautiful bat. i love bats and i just dont know why. there so cute.

  • Aww!

I've been wanting a bat for quite some time.

Can you domesticate them and keep them as pets?

    Where'd you get it??

  • Actually, it's against the law to own a bat without any permits. Unless you're a professional or a licensed wildlife rehabilitater, it's against the law. It's also cruel to keep a bat as a personal pet with no intention of releasing it back to the wild in a proper manner. It would just make them miserable and malnourished if you don't know what you're doing. It's best left to professionals.

  • I wrote that 7 months ago... Did you not see that? Plus they cannot DIE in captivity if given the proper care - which I cannot do seeing as I'm not a professional and I don't have a permit to keep a wild animal. And now that its 7 months, need I remind you, I have NO intention of keeping a poor creature as a pet.

    You're an idiot.

  • I wasn't trying to act intellegent. But for you to say that prooves how immature you are, as if you're trying to get back at me.

It would not suffer, these days anyone who can help save a bat due to their rapidly decreasing population is a savior. They need to be cared for (by professionals) or they may become extinct.

Please, don't argue with me on something I've been doing and been interested in for a long amount of years and that you clearly know nothing about...

  • like your name is so so clever koki gogo moko blolokiinin wolf shitter

  • @claireaitchison

Bats probably don't make very good pets, they tend to live in colonies where they are happiest- as they are social animals. Although some species do live in small groups, generally they never live alone as a rule of thumb. They are also very delicate and require alot of food (bugs) and places to fly, so unless you are a specialist or have a large encloser it is probably best to let this wild animal be free. I am hoping this guy got set free when he was old enough.

  • he he shreiking bat

  • -gasp- oh he's naked!
