LOL !! There's nothing wrong with the way he plays it. He doesn't play 8th notes (as Dom does) BUT he play the quarter notes in a shuffle feel, which means: If you count: One-e-and-a-two-e-and-a-....(a­nd so on) He plays the floor tom on the "a" which actually means that he plays a shuffle rhythm, which completely fits the song. I only know the basics in counting (can play stockholm syndrome, assasin and many others flawlessly) but I know when a drum score fits the feel of a song.

@diederickbrandsma I think what you are hearing is a superimposed handclap which is on the last eighth note of certain measures I believe. You could emulate it with the snare if you chose.

Man, this cover was great. Drums sound awesome, all grooves spot on and you just look like you're really into it. I have but one complaint, when the music's playing you are just a tad bit off with the snare and it makes a bit of a flammy sound, but that's a minor complaint. Liked the video, great job :)

Every drummer has their own groove. I just put Evans 2ply white coated on my Gretsch set and I love them. I used to be a hydrolic guy. I just love the pop on the coated heads. I just finished putting drums bass and back up vocals on "stranger things have happened" foo fighters. I herd the song and was like were the hell is Taylor. So i put in the rhythm section. I have tweaked the heads and mics since. check it out.
