  • ZIONIST MURDER! AIPAC CONTROLLED!

  • Lets face it... voting for either Giannoulias or Kirk is a wasted vote. Either way you end up with a Keynsian leftist liberal.

  • Comment removed

  • Kirk and Giannoulias are the same... Nothing but lies and corruption from them.

    Mike Labno for Senate.

Don't waste your vote for the lesser of two evils because you only end up with evil either way.

  • this guy is more corrupt than blaggo and osama oops obama combined see any possitive news

  • vote 3rd party please

  • I am proud that Mark Kirk is my congressman. I am even prouder that he will be my next senator. He is a man of great integrity and of great devotion for his country.

  • @JohnRhysMusician

He's my Congressman too and he is a disgrace.

Michael Labno is a much better fit for battling state bankruptcy.

  • @drifterted I have met and shook hands with Mike Labno, and the problem is that he doesn't have a chance. This is a moderate, but heavily Democratic state. Mark Kirk is a vote for Republican leadership, but he has the moderate persona to win statewide election repeatedly in Illinois.

  • @JohnRhysMusician Only if people vote for who THEY think will win not who will do the best job.

  • @drifterted He'll do the best job. There is no way that Mike Labno would do a better job for his constituents with no built-in seniority and no political experience. I am a staunch conservative, but Mark Kirk is the best man for the job. Also, his voting record in congress has become progressively more conservative each year. He is rated favorably on the Club for Growth member rating chart.

  • @JohnRhysMusician Unfortunately I don't think Mark Kirk has ever even heard of Macroeconomics before. I'm sure he will do a fine job doing what the Federal Reserve and Wall Street tell him too. This goes double for Giannoulias.

Mike Labno knows and will fallow the constitution, and in a federal office position that is the CORE requirement.

  • @drifterted Obviously you don't know that Mark Kirk has a masters degree from the London School of Economics, one of the most prestigious economics schools in the World. I am sure he has a good understanding of economic policy.

  • @JohnRhysMusician I'm sure Kirk and Soros go way back(Both LSE Grads). He shows his Fabian Society thoughts because he certainly doesn't follow Hayek's Austrian or classical liberalism views. He may as well had gone to Cambridge.

Voted For TARP Bailout Funds in return for over $796000 in campaign contributions from the TARP banks and their Political Action Committees

Voted With Barbara Boxer to Ram Cap and Trade through the House HR 2454

Voted No On Energy Independence Drilling ANWAR HR 6515

  • @drifterted TARP probably saved us from a banking crisis and a great depression. The problem now is that I fear that we are beginning a lost decade.

I don't agree with him on cap-and-trade, but a carbon taxation scheme is something that is likely to happen in the future regardless of the science on global warming.

Some people have legitimate concerns about drilling in ANWR, as it will increase dependence on oil, but decrease dependence on foreign oil. Unfortunate choice.

  • I would vote for Mark Kirk over Alexi Giannoulias any day of the week. Alexi Giannoulias is a corrupt Chicagoan politician. He can not be trusted. Vote for Kirk

  • I can't believe this guy's opening story.

  • THey really know how to work these crowds don't they. Do they get training fro this or what?????

  • One of 8 Republicans to vote for yes on cap and trade. What a joke.

  • Kirk is a liberal. John Kerry was a military man too. Kirk has an 'F' rating from the NRA which means he never supports the second amendment. He has a 100% rating from Pro Abortion group NARAL which means he never even by accident supports the pro-life cause. He receives the endorsement of gay rights activists because he never has voted against them and refused to protect marriage. He voted for CAP and Trade and against the surge. He is a horrible candidate. We don't need him.

  • The 10th congressional district, my district, was notoriously anti-gun after the Lauri Dann escapade and meltdown. Wilmette put a man in jail for violating their handgun ban when he shot an intruder into his home with a pistol. Now all the handgun bans are gone, but the North Shore is generally more liberal on social issues, but very conservative on fiscal issues and generally very pro-Republican Party, the portions of the district within Cook Cnty are especially Republican.

  • So, he voted for Cap and Trade because it was in the "narrow interest" of his congressional district. Sounds like he would be one of those back room deal makers that would say yes to healthcare if the deal was big enough to help Illinois. To hell with the rest of the country. Am I reading him wrong? Sounds pretty narrow to me.

  • Mark Kirk deserves to be booed, He was one of 8 House Republicans to vote for the "American Clean Energy and Security Act" bill in June, 2009 which passed the House. This bill, if approved in the Senate, would establish Cap-and-Trade & limit greenhouse gases (including carbon dioxide, which plants need to survive) and would treat climate change as if we humans are able to stop it. Mark Kirk has thrown in repeatedly with the liberal Democrats and he certainly doesn't belong in the Senate.

  • Boo to KIrk!!

  • rethugs are always gonna lose in the long run if they don't embrace the environment.

young people are the future and we care about conservation

  • Global warming is a hoax.

  • ok.

  • there's no manmade global warming...

climategate data was corrupted by scientists

  • yes pollution doesn't exist

    dumbass

  • Based on the applause throughout the video, sounds as if people agree that he's on the right track. (Darn good speaker, too.)

For those who are obsessed over the Cap&Trade vote, think about having Senator Giannoulias representing us, his values, and what HE has done to serve our country.

  • type henrykitoy007

  • Just a quick thought about the RINO nonsense - if we want to do anything now or for the next decade, we better turn the Republican party into a big tent, and start focusing on the core values (which Kirk has) rather than repeating the comments of some internet talking head. He described the why he gave the Yes vote then, and why he'd give the No vote now. Now let's fall in line and win the senate seat for IL and for our children.

  • Yeah, that "big tent" attitude got you Dole, Bush and McCain. None of which worked out worth a damn for anyone with any sort of principles whatsoever.

And that's why you should not fall for the new conservatism arising in DC these days. It's pure opportunism, disguised as conservatism.

Put Republicans back in power and you'll get a slightly different flavour of the same bullshit.

  • This duplicitous moron voted FOR the Cap & Trad bill, the bill that would ad over $1,700 per year to household expenses. Save us from central planing (e.g. Soviet style) autocrats with their ineffective yet destructive PC mandates.

  • I would rather have Roland Burris than a RINO.

  • Guy is a stupid RINO and we need real republicans to run for office!

  • Mark Kirk=Democrat! Vote 4 Eric Wallace!

  • The majority of his speech was getting applause for things like building nuclear reactors everywhere and drilling for oil on the coasts... and of course voting against a public option in healthcare reform.

And they say Democrats want to destroy America??? Most of us would die within a decade of their control... Dirty Environment, nuclear "targets" for Al Qeda to take aim at and no healthcare available... They suck.

  • Nuclear reactors are 0 emissions your a genius.

  • Fucktard Alert!

  • I'm sick of phonys.

  • It is almost surreal how right wingers reject things that any sane and fair-minded individual would support...measures to address global warming, global warming, a public option to force insurers to lower costs, evolution, etc.

Decisions about which party to support shouldn't be this easy...

  • Let me ask you this: Why would I support a liberal Republican when I can just support a Democrat? If you want to support a candidate that believes in global warming, then vote for a Democrat. Me, I'd rather vote for someone who reflects my conservative beliefs. Why is this so hard for liberals to understand that there are people who just don't like socialism? Mark Kirk is a textbook example of why the Republican Party is circling the toilet.

  • It is almost surreal how left wingers reject things that any sane and fair-minded individual would support...low taxes, not falling for global warming alarmism, the government staying out of our personal affairs, etc.

  • Hypocrites.

  • Comment removed

  • Seriously? You're thinking short-term. America already has high regulations. If regulations/taxes/fines are raised more, these jobs will go to China. In China there are almost NO regulations. The overall affect on the climate will actually WORSEN due to Cap & Trade.

  • Yes, it would be great if Republicans took back the Senate seat once held by Barack Obama.

It would be nice if the establishment was backing a Republican candidate. Mark Kirk is another Arlen Spector in the making.

  • Yeah I am glad we got rid of snarlin Arlen.

  • More flip-flopping from the repubs.

I voted for cap and trade, but I won't vote for cap and trade.

Who believes this crap besides other ignorant Americans?
