I first came to Tu Lan Restaurant in 1992. It's the best. Their chow mein is extraordinary, not like a Chinese chow mein. Tu Lan uses a different pasta that is delicious to chew and it soaks up flavors of the impeccable sauce. Their fried rice is one of a kind. Incredible. The Imperial Rolls are fabulous. Go there. Sit at the counter. Watch as they cook everything. Glance at your menu and they'll let you know what they are making if you ask. Once you see what you'd like to try, go for it.
The shrimp fried rice with a $5 side of pork kabob... Enough said.
