@mellianne1 - Yes, the original shape of Arda was indeed flat, and was only made a globe at the changing of the world, when Ar Pharazon, in his pride, broke the ban of the Valar and attempted to sail from Numenor into the Undying Lands.

Great video! Tolkein's creation myth reminds me of the concept that life and the material world is made up vibration. A kind of musical energy. You can see how cyclic 'wave' energy,such as sound, is demonstrated in the study of cymetics.

Thanks for your comments everyone! I really appreciate it. I am planning on doing more videos to tell more of the story.

In fact, I had a video for the Valaquenta about 3/4 done, when I accidentally lost most of my work. Then my dissertation hit, and I was too busy for anything else.

After redoing the Valaquenta, I have good plans for the Waking of the Elves. Then who knows, if all goes well, maybe I'll eventually get to the really good stuff.
