@filo4life11 Listen, the knife's TIP comes dull - and for good reazon. When you stab somebody and go for the heart, it will not get stuck in the ribs, but slide by and keep going deeper for damage. They teach this in special forces @ armed forces throughout Europe. So in a last resort fighting blade, you DO NOT want a razor sharp tip.

iam also as serpentine said a city dwellin knife nut but i,ve spent many years hunting/ fishing so i,m not worried about who ends up-where and as far as shooting ppl ?,,all thats gonna do is give your own position away and the only way any of us will survive anything is werking together not fight over a can of beans great knife tho i,ve had 1 for 5 years now
Oh god another city person who obsesses over knifes. Talking about all the little uses of its little features. HAHAHA. In the real world, If a TOTAL SHTF senario happens where you HAVE TO BUG OUT to the woods. A. your never going to live long term of the land out of a b.o.b. B. when all the city people flood out into the country and roam across our lands we are going to shoot them. Dog eat dog. Little knife reviewers are funny how you get boners over knives like your just getting outside
Sounds pretty simple to me, My family comes first, And your roaming across our land stealing our crops and shooting the deer up. So when the system cant suport you any more, what do you think is going to happen? Watch the historys channels documentary on it. Look at hurricane katrina, When the dollar bill crashes, your fucked. I worked hard for my ability to be self sufficenet and be a survivalist, ITS A LIFE STYLE, not some BS faze you get in when troubles coming. DONT TREAD ON ME, LIFESTYLE!
But why do you have to come down on somebody for doing a knife review?
These people are trying to better educate fellow citizens.YOU are just being an asshole. What have you contributed?I hope i never run into somebody like you when shtf ....because you piss me off.....People are trying to learn what gear to get to help them through hard times.
Why would I help sheep? Its not being an asswhole, its LIFE. If you have to learn about how to use a knife or the abilities and functions of a knife/what knife to buy Im affraid your already toast. You would have to be the most sheltered city person. Buying field gear isnt going to keep you alive. You have to have a place out in country with stocked food and ammo, the field gear is just for temp to get back to your safe zone. a Kabar is all you need. But do you see why these videos are a joke?
Im not trying to be a prick, but think about it. really think about it. Unless you take out a HUGE loan and buy 10 acres out in the country and prepare, Or store years worth of food in your city home and BY miracle are not detected by others or by miracle nobody decideds to ransack your crib your toast. Small towns will only take in so many people. They can only suport so many. Im trying to instill some logic here. Theres so much of this boyscout shit its just pointless.
Whole cities can burn, So can the country side. If you are just starting out prepareing and want some helpfull advice. You might get a map and learn where public forests and government forests are. It might be illegal but were talking survival, Start barrying food and ammo in multiple locations.
Wolves vs sheep, Pisses you off? thats life. Its called natural selection. Am I going to go out and just start killing people and takeing their shit.....na. Will I defend my shit with out warning HELL YEAH. Your going to see real hell. The Law of the Land. Im just giving you urban survivalist bug out baggers with no where to go the heads up. Ditch all those water purifiers and all that comfort BS, The last of your worries is going to be sleeping on the ground and being dirty.
@serpentineBOA stop putting other peoples videos down, they spend time to make them for people like me and my buddies. if you dont like it then stop the vid..simple as that.
the tang goes into about the half of the handle, then it forms kind of a little room in which you can store small things like strike anywhere-matches or water purification tablets when you pop off the end.
I dont think that it is actually full tang. The plug on the end of the pommel comes off to reveal a recess which takes adaptors to tranform it into a bayonet, the adapters being dedicated for particular models of firearms. That is why the swedge does not come sharpened, so it can perform as a rib separator in the bayonet role.
@filo4life11 Late reply, but if you are still thinking about getting one, I imagine with the steel being softer 55Rc, It would be nothing with some sandpaper to get it convexed.

@filo4life11 All stainless blades cant stay sharp. They are also brittle. I dont think this is stainless. GOOD.
Next time you go to a gun/militaria show, look for a real WW1 "trench knife", the early ones had a guard instead of the "brass knuckles". Look at the quality of the steel, you'll agree. Military knives, bayonettes, weapons, are made as cheaply as possible.
@filo4life11 I own this knife myself, the grind is strong, and thus on the duller side. I bought this knife as a beater knife, to do stuff you shouldent do with a knife. I chopped through a stairway truss (which is VERY thick VERY hard wood) and i was able to baton through some wood fairly easy. It is a suprisingly thick blade, which is good for this purpose, and the tough grind and softer steel lent it well to chopping ( for its size). It will rust easy, but its not as bad as many say it is,
@mtlwarrior1 as said in the review, i have yet to chip this blade, and it holds a passable edge for alot longer than i thought it would. I have little experience sharpening, but i get it good enough and it held a consistent edge throughout my chopping. Yes an axe would be better but i dont own an axe (yet), and this is the best i had. I am auctually very happy with this $30 knife.

The knife is not full tang. But like the frosts mora, it does not matter, the slade will break before that tang fails.

its not full tang!!
the Blade goes only 2 oz into the handle
because there is a steel pipe in the rest of the handle, remove the pomel and you can use it as a Bajonet on the AUG.!!!
