I let three of my friends try Mega Man 9 on my Wii. They gave up after ten minutes when each of them got a game over. Then, I beat the 8 robot masters in about 30 minutes and they were all like =O.

3D graphics are great, sure, they have beautiful, realistic textures and stuff, and it really stretches the boundaries of reality and fiction, creating beautiful, lush, abstract landscapes.

But I've always thought that video game art is at it's best in 8 - 16 bit, due to it's ability to convey so much meaning and ideas, and be beautiful in so little space.

In the end, it all comes down to a game's originality, entertainment, quality, and how much the creators cared about making the game. I don't believe NES games have anything over Xbox 360 games, and I don't think that Xbox 360 games have anything over NES games. Saying all new games suck is just as bad as saying the same about old games.
