  • Junkyard fucking rock. Underrated!

  • AWESOME JUNKYARD WHERE THE HELL R THEY NOW!!!!

  • I was introduced to this song on the radio show "Metalshop" - loved it.

Graduated HS in '89 and had an entire summer with not much to do. I spent it driving around in my '69 Dodge Dart GT ragtop with a buddy of mine - going to junkyards to buy parts to keep the car running... while listening to this band.

Still my all time favorite band.

Living in AZ now in the middle of the desert, nothing better than driving home on my dirt roads and listening to "Simple Man" full blast in the truck.

  • Kick ass rock and fucking roll bro

  • Good this hear this late 80s music. The new shit today just flat out sucks ass. Kids dont realize what true rock and fucking roll really was.

  • Pat, Good to hear you're still kicking. Us old farts need to stick together.

    Best

  • Take a close look at the blond haired guitar player. That's Brian Baker currently of Bad Religion and formerly of Dag Nasty.

  • Junkyard was a major influence on Kickstarter, check out Kickstarter "Drinking Game"

  • this band is kool

  • This made hairbands afraid...Big Chris Gates should 've punched them all in the throat.

  • Seeing this reminds me of many a high school saturday night spent drinking beer we either stole or bought with a fake ID, all while shooting pool with Headbanger's Ball going in the background. Life is still great, but bands like Junkyard made for some special times back in my stoner days.

  • Too awesome!

  • @pmuzingo loved this shit!!!! never understood why bands like Poison n Warrant (who sound like pop) got big and bands like Junkyard n Roxx Gang didn't get the recognition......... Btw I'm from Wa. state and was always a huge Mother Love Bone fan n anyway a friend of mine was in Frisco on vacation and saw ya'll do a show with them.......said both bands rocked!!!

  • @jrmeatplow junkyard and mother love bone , and in s.f. of all places ? i would've paid bank to have caught that one !

  • fuck yeah still makes me wanna rub my old cunt!

  • trim up all you guys are a bunch of metro pussys rock n roll is just rock n roll

  • Good ol boys done good.Long live junkyard!!

  • Pat, thanks for sharing the vids!! I can't tell you enough the positive effect Junkyard had on me when this album came out....thanks!!!!

  • @juker606

    Sounds good...

  • @juker606

ok? what are you some skinny super model? hahahah...

  • @pmuzingo doesn't matter. i'm not the one trying to be a lead singer of a rock band.

he can't trim up? i would if we had made it like that in a rock band.

  • @juker606 guess he wasn't a JUNKY like most those bands!!!???

  • Some Adam Curry MTV's Headbangers Ball era.

  • I remember hearing this album in when I was stationed in Jacksonville South Carolina. The girl at the music store told me the Michael Stipe from REM sort of discovered the band. Too bad they only put out only a few albums.

  • The sound quality on this video sucks, too bad the fuckheads on MTV can't put the original video on.

  • @Mo1988jo You are 100% right on!

  • jesus christ. how he went from the Meatmen to this..fucking weird.

  • @oldhacks Why not? Look at the way SSD sounded and looked. The $ didn't suck either? We were all in punk bands (Big Boys, Decry, etc.) and so were allot of others during that time. At least we weren’t Warrant...hahaha

  • @pmuzingo I met warrant when I was 12. it was boring.

  • @pmuzingo or " pretty girl floyd ." i lived in hollywood and western building , ya'll were the baddest muthafucka's ! remember pretty girl floyd ? i hated their candyasses .

  • These guys were the best band that you never heard of. Their first 2 cd's were a great combo of glam metal and southern rock. Too bad they never got the big break alot of far less talented bands got.

  • YA see, this IS rock and Roll. It tells story of how life was according to how they saw it at the time. And the fact that it hasn't changed is a testament to how timeless music really is...lml.

  • Buckcherry- eat your fuckin' heart out

  • great band! has that trashy gibson sound!!! Great underrated album,( classic )if you know shit about music!

  • sounds like Skid Row.

  • this sounds like gnr welcome to the jungle

  • @FunLovingCriminals77 i think one of the bands got the singing tune from one or the other

  • This was Brians high point! This was an all star ex punk band making a great rock n roll band!!!!!

  • I'm glad Brian grew out of this phase.

  • Brian Baker from MINOR THREAT on guitar!

  • sounds like gnr

  • Awesome song but it needs bass in this video. Whatever, I'll take it.

  • DAVID ROACH!!!!!!!!!!

One of my all time fave BOY singers!

    <3

  • what does he mean by a goodies?

  • @lester5192

    child prostitute

btw, love how this was the one song that was like the hollywood that the other bands sing about doesn't exist, it's really like this.

  • @quietriotfan1976 maybe. i wasn't ruling out a child drug dealer either. who knows?

  • I saw these guys at Club Lingerie in Hollywood (dont know what its called now) back in the early 90's and they kicked ass! This is one of the BEST lesser known songs. After KNAC went off the air all this shit went away......til now!

  • just heard them on the radio. Classics

  • GENIALESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NICEEEEEEEEEEE XDDDDD

  • Saw these guys a couple weeks ago. All short hair and clean cut but they still rocked like nobody's business. Maybe 100 of us in the crowd having the freaking time of our lives. Closed with a Fear cover. Awesome. Go see 'em if you get a chance

  • @truckystiv How many original members are still in the band?

  • Crazy, I was a fan of this shit back in the day, but an even bigger fan of Faster Pussycat, and just learned that Brent Muscat-guitarist for FF brother Todd is in this band.. Just thought Id throw that out there.. But man this song brings back those nutty dayz..There still crazy!!!

  • will *never* forget the show @ back room in ?1989-90 junkyard...w/special guests...black crowes...the audience for black crowes could be counted on my fingers & toes

  • Brian Baker!? What the fuck are you doing in this band? I'm glad BB saw the light and came back to punk rock.

  • Come back to the UK pleeeeeeeeeease (so I can drool over David Roach again!)

  • dave roach was like 100's better than vince neil , even better hair lol

  • Great song...not too original but still rocks!

  • Underrated Glam Metal \m/

  • dude get a grip i love it all if its glam sleaze death speed black metal i love it all now shush

  • I agree, they are ONE of the best.

And FUCK Poison, Warrant, Faster pussycat, and especially PBF

  • Big fuckin Chris Gates on guitars bitches!

  • I discovered this band last night in concert at "grillen" in Colmar France. it was brilliant, powerful, beautiful! the true rock n roll. when I think this group is just reformed for a tour and he failed to live music. It disgusts me, there are so many group works that are rotten. that is tearing at all. RAM JUNKYARD

  • Cool story, and yeah I agree. These guys hit Baltimore in late 91,and I fuckin didn't go! Still bothers me to this day~!

  • i got junkyards first cd for christmas last year yay

  • They were like a country-fried version of GNR. Shame they never made the big time...

  • belive me there is alot of bands like these

    that not made it

    beacuse the grunge

  • yes true,,,even 90s had some music like rock like trixter..i love 80s metal hard rock 90s stuff like this and todays sleaze rock like crah diet,,hardcore superstar..

  • @masterdeviance1985

  • great band. great song, this is just an anthem.

  • remember partying and this was on tv head bangers ball and we started jamming the guitarist in glasses and hat looks like my buddy ah memories.

  • LOL, me too. I had just moved to Hollywood, CA on Hollywood/Wilcox and this was definitely my life's theme song from 1991-93.

  • The problem with junkyard is they sorta ht it big at the wrong time. The started to get airplay then dance mix crap took over the airways

  • This song Still rocks!! On my playlists for Road trips!! Junkyard!!!

  • Always thought this singer could step in for Vince when Motley fired him. Look/sound very similar...

  • would have been a much better choice than corabi

  • my band played with these guys was a good full night great gig i also thought they were going to make it big but i thought we would also well we didnt

  • could of sworn they were going to make it big. oh well, that's hollywood.

  • fantastic, Buckcherry are still flying the flag

  • This reminds me of an old friend that I have seen in along time. Brings back good memories. I Love it. This is what Rock and Roll is about.

  • this song is great, specially the solo... don't need to be fancy and shred all the time to have a great guitar solo!

  • Ahh, yes...Rock City Angels were completely screwed....as were these men.

I was once kicked out of a bar for threatening the DJ with a projectile bottle for playing 2 (TWO!) poison songs in a row.

Forever in my playlist and heart go these bands.

  • I remember when these guys were the next best thing but just never happened for them

  • fuck yea... sleaze at the best....fuck rap and the company's....

  • How I miss that great rock and roll

  • Picked up a used copy of their 2003 CD called "Tried and True" It is AWESOME. It only has 6 tracks but its very very cool. Made me go out an reacquire the first 2.

  • Brian Baker of Minor Threat on lead guitar!

  • I partied with these dudes in Norfolk, VA. back in 1988 at a club called "Onstage". Wonder what ever happened to them?

  • They ditched your ass!!!

  • wanna know what i saw these guys on mtv a lot for about a year.on headbangers ball of course.you guys who are bitching about these guys not making it big need to realise the volume of hair metal bands that were around back in the 80s if you really want something to cry about do a little research about a band called rock city angels now those fuckers got screwed royaly

  • They rock, and they have a new record out.

  • WHAT'Z IT CALLED ? CSC/09

  • raw metal texas style hell yea

  • Raw, smokin, untainted ROCK N ROLL

  • Great song! Great group! Its a pitty that they didn't make it big because they had a lot to offer. This video was so awesome, reminded me of early Motley Crue. Loud and in your face!

  • the problem so to speak with Junkyard was just the sheer number of bands that sounded like them ALL trying to make it. Circus of power, Rhinobucket, Kix. They had big region success. Pisses me off too, instead of bands lke this making it huge we were all stuck with shitty bands like poison, winger, slaughter, and the like.

  • wow i was seventeen when i had hear this song first time and i have saw them in italy! great band but so many years...i'm cryng

  • COOL

  • Saw these guys many times in the 80's. What has happened to our music??? We need this kind of music again. JUNKYARD KICKS ASS!!!!

  • its really silly that these guys never made it big, like there music is fantastic.

and you cant find there guitar tabs anywere!!

  • yo..Thats motherfuckin Brian Baker..Minor Threat, Meatmen, Dag-Nasty....Punk as fuck aping Guns & Roses, damn thats good though!

  • One of the greatest songs ever !

I miss being in Hollywood, playing music, getting high and banging hot chicks.

My Youth is a cliche, and I Love It !

  • la guns n motley on vox

  • Can't beleive I forgot about this band. Bring back the 80's. Music was so much better LOL

  • These guys had their own sound: some Los Angeles mixed w/some Texas.

  • one of the band members has a youtube account and is posting vids. check it out!

  • Hell Yes! Today's "Angry White Boy" bands that the record companies are pushing at us aren't even worthy of scrubbing toilets on on Junkyard's bus

  • Ever since I bought this CD in '95 it's still kicking ass. I have the German pressing.

  • We need more bands like this one. Or just this one to get together and start cutting new tracks!

  • WOW I did not here from these guys since there first song Junkyard its been a long time, but u guys still rock n roll

  • Wow, thank you for posting Junkyard. Wish I could find hands off, texas, and simple man.

  • Wow you really can find anything on youtube! This song dropped off my radar a while back!

  • i remember when this song came out. i remember thinking it was a new song from motley crue. it sounded like the crue to me.

  • yeah now that you mention it they do sound like crue kinda

  • I always thought they were more L.A. Guns myself lol.

  • Fuck Yea

  • they never got the credit they deserve, they wrote some really good music!!!

  • Saw them at the Palamino club in L.A. in Aug. of 1990. Kick ass band!

  • Junkyard was soo awesome... they were def underrated... But.. If you like them... you had to like dangerous toys..... and the guitar player from dangerous toys was Kevin Fowler.... Hes a country singer now.... HAHAHA

  • reminds me of vince niel

  • I saw Junkyard in March 1990 at On Stage in Norfolk, VA. They put on a good show. The Black Crowes opened, along with a local band, Tetra. This was the only time I attended a concert at On Stage. Did anyone else see them around this time? Is On Stage still there? It was on Little Creek Road.

  • The black crowes opened for these guys? That's an odd pairing.

  • Yes, they did. One year later, they were opening for ZZ Topp, but were kicked off the tour when Chris Robinson got very vocal about corporate sponsorship. Budweiser was sponsoring the tour at that time.

  • I was at the same show, small world HA...... Me and and a buddy of mine had some brews and shot pool with David Roach and Chris Gates was a cool show.

  • i was at that same show! at least it could have been? it was about that time...march or april. i was stationed there as a squid. ha-ha i saw "in living colour" there too.

  • this song still rocks after all these years!!

  • need more music like what junkyard put out! kick ass hard core rock!!!

  • Always loved this one...

  • Big Chris Gates is a badass guitar player. I wish I got to see these guys live back in the day..

  • the shitty sound sux! too bad

  • UNDER RATED is a understatement!!! One of the best bands of all time

  • I haven't seen this video in years. I've kept looking for it and it's finally here. Junkyard is my favorite band bar none. Why they never caught on I'll never know. Bad-ass tunes from a bad-ass band.

  • Live like I want too not like I should!!!!

  • Why is this so "tinny" sounding? Great song

  • Man, seems like just yesterday that I seen that video for the first time. Graet song, ghreat band that was and, still is highly underrated.

  • Another underrated song.

  • What a blast from the past!!!!!

I remember seeing this video on the PowerHour back in '89 and buying the LP on the strength of it.

    I feel real old now.

  • Pat!!!!

  • Badass.Glad I finally found this!

  • Thanks alot for the video !

I'm glad this one is back on Youtube 'cause Junkyard is a really great band, but unfortunately underrated.

  • Great song!
