Excellent review, especially enjoyed the roster review. My sentiments exactly, the exclusion of Megaman from the game is blasphemy, and I can't help but feel that this is some sort of crack at Keiji Inafune for leaving Capcom. Inevitably they will add on more characters, it'd be a crime to leave MvC3 with 36 characters when MvC2 had 56. Fighting game rosters are traditionally supposed to grow, so I expect we'll be seeing the old characters make a return, along with some newcomers, for a price.
@althegamefreak Yeah. He was originally gonna be in it, even pretty far into the process. But they took him out at the last minute, for some reason. Too bad, he was a lot of fun in TvC.
@ballzbiggins i have mvc2 on dreamcast. and well you cant please everybody, it was bound to get haters because it wasnt as broken or had a wide variety of characters as part 2 did, they were and are all good. and they are ALL button mashers. i button mashed the heck out of mvc2 and ppl thought i was pro. not even XD, im actually trying to learn combo's for mvc3, but it was gonna easily be seen that veterans of mvc1 and 2 were gonna hate it for making the noobs a chance
By the way, nice poster of Chun-Li in the background, and very funny overall :)

@ballzbiggins
internet tone is so hard to convey
I was speaking in more of a third person
>>I would start with playing with people around my area (WESTCOAST)
>>Gain experience in playing in competitions, seeing other people's philosophies on this game and specific characters
>>Go to the east coast where my brother lives, play some of his friends and get my ass wrecked because they playing more technical
>>then I would talk about whether this game is good/bad after playing for a good amount.

@ballzbiggins
*cough*
It sounds like this game has been out for ten days and you haven't played it long enough to make a educated decision.
>>play competitive in west coast
>>gain experience in tournaments
>>go to east coast and get your west coast ass wrecked
>>THEN see if you still think its a button smasher or not
It's kinda like me playing me playing Halo Reach for a week and saying, "this game is no good, all you do is shoot people."

@ballzbiggins we disagree. old mvc veterans destroying new players to the series isn't a good way to gain new players.
