I wanted a connection to a mary kay consultant personally for fashion and style, and ordering. She started recruiting me right away. And for a year. Mary Kay is a dishonest enterprise. I stopped buying it altogether because she didn't want me as a customer, she wanted me as a downline. Better products, without the hassle and danger, at Walgreens. Get a cup of coffee, shop the store and chat up a couple of clerks...it will be more personal.
Hm... I guess that this video was made by someone not positive about Mary Kay. In Mary Kay you never feel alone, and there is always someone who will support you.
@nataliaagk, don't forget to mention that the support is severely conditional. If one stops ordering product (not selling, mind you) or stops recruiting, or (heaven forbid) decides to leave the business because it's best for her, that woman will be badmouthed and ridiculed beyond belief. I've seen it happen far too many times.
"She picks up her cell phone and calls up her cousins, in hopes she'll recruit them because she's got dozens...but no friends."
Pair that line with the fact that she's committing one of the biggest sins in Mary Kay (the wearing of pants) and I bet there's more than a few consultants out there soiling themselves right now! :D
Also insightful is the line: "She sells makeup, but it's not cheap. And she knows it, but she sells it anyway." (at 30, 40, and 50% off...")
