We were trying to go to Munich in 2004 for Oktoberfest but everything was booked so we ended up in Frankfurt but we also went to some other towns or cities. Next time we'll try to book our flights and hotels at least 6 months in advance to go to Munich for Oktoberfest.

Yes I had the previlege. I had my share of beer, brochen with schnitzel. You know there's always some sort of fest going in Germany, but Oktoberfest is the grand daddy of them all. Whenever I want some german beer, I go to a place here in Los Angeles called Alpine Village where they have a German markt and a restaurant . They hold an Oktoberfest there every year, they try but its no comparison, but alot of older Germans and German Americans hang out there, just like me reminiscing.

I agree, Bavaria is very nice, Munchen, Numberg, Wurzburg, Augsburg, Bamberg, Schweinfurt. Konigssee lake, Berchtesgaden, Neuschwanstein castle, I know I sound like a tourist but I mean the whole place was excellent. Its definitely a must see if anyone is going to Germany. When I lived there at times I thougth that Bavaria is kind of separate from the rest of Germany. Best beer in the world and hot chicks. Man I miss Germany
