@MrGreatgod Everyone's entitled their opinions, HOWEVER, WoW doesnt have 12 million regular subscribers because people havent tried other MMOs. Its because they have the single best product on the market. Other games might beat WoW's graphics here and there, or other certain modes of play, but no one comes close to the diversity of play options and styles that WoW provides. Its noob/hardcore friendly, has great pvp, great pve, and a huge seamless environment to traverse.

I don't like everquest because is not the same like world of warcraft they don't have a pet to help you fight monster. I thought it was the same like world of warcraft.

Actually there are a couple classes who can in fact have pets that help fight. Necro beign one of them. I think conjuror has one. There are also diety pets. Hunter is only thing in wow with a good pet imho. but wow Has no housing no where to show off your hard work.. wow is simple and monotonously boring same instances over an over same factions over an over same loot over an over. Eq has events every month many to giv eyou cool things for your houses. Good quest storylines. Exp dueout feb

@xjaidlyn Most classes have a pet if you spec into it, hunters have the beast pets, warlocks have demons, death knights have the undead, priests have a shadowfiend, shaman have ghost wolfs and elementals, mages have a water elemental, paladins have an angel thing... theres probably more I've missed

The only classes that have pets to help in fight in WoW is the hunter an warlock and in eq2 they have the necromancer and conujuror, the necro is evil and the conjy is good, necros have more DoT spells and weaker pets but they look cooler and conjuys have more nuke spells and stronger pets though the pets are not always very coollooking but some mage ones and tank pets are pretty awsome..... the only upper hand WoW may have in having pets is that in WoW you can pick whatever animal you want

if you do try and like shoot me a tell on Lucan delere / name Jaidlyn or Glitter, tho you cant do so on a trial acct. two parties need to friend each other to talk / from trial accts. youll only be able to lvl up to lvl 20 .. but key to good fast lvling is to pick up shinies (the glittery things on ground add them to collections turn in the collections for experience)

Most people who game or long time gamers were brought up on UO dont necessarily like anime style games, i have found. I played mabinogi for a bit but too costly. this game you speak of is anime and will run just like mabin im sure so thats a big fail to me. good luck with it tho

Takes longer to lvl in eq2 yes then wow. But i have seen someone lvl 1 to 80 in 2 weeks in eq2 like my guild leader. But It just depends on the time you have to spend average time player you probably looking at about 2 months to 80. I prefer having to work a little to get to the goal. i have been on game off an on for 5yrs and I still only have one 80 adventurer and 2 80 craftsman and currently 68 on my 2nd adventuring. Just there is so much to do you get side tracked (especially Housing)

I believe this game is more for the long term players. PLUS there is excellent housing and items to decorate with. Wow is more for fast play and fast leveling and no Housing. boring to me.

I play eq2 cause there is always soemthing new to decorate house with or new quests always added. It really dosent take too long to lvl to 80 depends on your play time.

Not to mention much more detailed than WoW. I always like questing in EQ 2 because it actually seems to be part of the game, instead of just killing boars. Great game, EQ2 is still the king of MMO.

My Warden is now a Fury lvl 80. with mythical weapon. I love this game cause the graphics are so much better then wow. Not a real cartoony look. Which i prefer. I played wow 2 yrs solid raided constant had 70 mage. (whatever the cap is) I have no desire to go back havent been away from wow now for a year and half. I have way too much to do in eq2 and new exp coming.

If wow got housing then i may retry it but I enjoy having a place to show off trophys of the game. I love the sales method too selling from your house. There are more quests then anyone can imagine. I have not done even a full half of them and im lvl 80.

Its far from a free to play game I play 2 actual free to play games or have. This game is a first class intricate detail game. This game tho it has been made alot easier to lvl this last year, has still so much content you cant even fathom doing all of it in one year not alone 2. There are quests i skipped over and next month ill be able to go back solo and do them with new mentoring system. While we can still mentor any lvl to help and enjoy old content we never did. There is just so muchtodo

Aion another pay to play game which is a total rip off. Wings you can have wings in eq2 too just depends on your play style and what you seek in a game. I can tell you pay toplay games cost way more to play hubby and i dropped nearly 400.00 on one pay to play game in 3 months.. ya NOT in our budget either .. you dont even realize how much you spend.. stick with 15.00 a month games if you dont have TONS of money to pay to have good equipment to compete.

Erm I think not. LOTRO didnt copy EQ... lord of the rings were a series of books WAY before the EQ Creators had the idea. LOTRO is based off its books it has its own gameplay nothing like wow's or EQ's.

no its not a free to play game. and no Wow is not better then. Wow is less in depth. There is always updates and new content for eq2. Wow doesnt have content updates nearly as much. and Wow does not have Housing which is a big loose to me. I like to store trophys of my conquests. Decorating is awesome even beats second life imho.

Recommend the game though, the depth and polish of it are incredible, especially when they add in the 3.0 shaders in September, its surprising what they achieved without them all this time!

actually ya i just went back to play last nov. after Kunark came out and the game is so much fun. I was bored stiff in wow, after playing it for 3 yrs. eq2 there is always something to do and never enough time to do it. always something new and i been back 4 months or so. But you should check out Age of Conan thats the new game alot of people are waiting for.
