  • I posted what I think are what you were talking about: "Hamilton Co. fire Plectron tones (audio)

    "

  • Fantastic!!! These are the ones! Thank you very much! Those old Plectron tones would make interesting and unique ringtones for a cell phone. I believe your video is the ONLY one like it on YouTube. like this.

  • I think I know the format that you are speaking of. I have some of those as well. I'll get a few todether.

  • Thank you very much for your prompt reply. I will look forward to hearing them.

  • I finally pinpointed the exact times of the toneouts I am seeking. They were HC because they all ended with KQI 316. It was Sept-Nov 1976. Long high-pitch tone(s) followed by 2, sometimes 4 tones that sounded like pressing numbers on a telephone keypad, only higher pitch, almost "whistle-like". There were no QC tones after the dispatch ended. These were around 33 Mhz. When I returned to Cincy in 1977, I could not find HC on that low-band. "Those" tones would make fantastic ringtones.

  • Thanks for that question. I just noticed I didn't put the time line in the title. I just added it. oops

  • I think it was probably winter 74-75.

  • Thanks for these!! Do you know if these dispatches were in 1976 or were they before that? I only wish I had been in a position way back then to have set up my old reel-to-reel tape recorder to record the different toneouts for the various depts. in Hamilton County.
