  • he made the right curve to very high speed. made to break the wing.

  • that is called a vapor cone.... that doesnt necessarily means that he broke the sound barrier

  • @10staxaday2 its not called a vapor cone its a Prandtl–Glauert singularity and it actualy does mean that either all of or part of the plane has broken the sound barrier it is a result of pressure differences

  • hunting is sharp curve disintegrates

  • the clouds before the fire are the clouds of an explosion from breaking the sound barrier...later with the fire..it was from a catastrophic compressor failure,,,so the information says...

  • wow cheap plane

  • Did you notice when the plane exploded a guy said "Yeah! Woo!"

  • @askadetra The circle-shaped thing that looks like a cloud is the result of breaking the sound barrier, and the plane exploded because it couldn't handle it.

  • can someone tell me what is this circle on the back of the plane? and did it cause the explosion?

  • @askadetra if you are talking about before the explosion..that is him breaking the sound barrier

  • @n4sir804 yes. but what did cause the explosion?

  • @GiveInToMetal I'm sure he was, but while watching the video it seemed to me, amusingly, that he was announcing his success in filming the accident. "It's ok guys!!! The batteries WERE charged."

  • OH YEAH THAT WAS TOTALLY AWESOME. wait breaking the sound barrier is supposed to do that right?

  • actually it doesn't look near the supersonic pass.

  • F15 wings fold back.

  • @Tuvock1 looks like a 14 to me...

  • It's OK! It's OK!! I got it recording.

  • Fuckin sound barrier

  • the guys are probably yelling yeah because the pilots ejected safely

  • 0:18 Guy shouts "Yeah!"

  • an F14 Tomcat?

  • the wings are "folded back" ... duh, it's an F-14. No other "F' plane has this feature ... the wings of both an F-16 and F-18 are out to the side ... another plane that has the "folded back wing" feature is the B1 "Lancer" ... i just hope that the person who thinks this is an F18 is not behind the radar detecting enemy fighters for the US! If so, we are in deep shit! lol!

  • @dnlbarbier Actually the F-111 also has a swing wing

  • At the end: that was the sound of the seats ejecting.

  • "two parachute!! two parachute!!"

  • es un poco falso

  • The excellent book Punching Out has the pilots recollection of this accident. It is quite interesting to hear about this accident from the pilot's perspective.

  • Tom Cat FTW

  • CRACH!

  • LOL SUPERSHIT

  • Sonic the Hedgehog

  • is it bad to say this video would be funny if it had the Back to the Future theme?

  • 00:13 He enters another dwelm...!

  • this is maverick requesting a fly by

  • lol its funny because you hear the guy in the back ground say (did you get that).

  • Sub-sonic. Definitely not super-sonic.

  • @RavenZ27 Obvious morons commenting here. It WAS supersonic. You could see the cloud when it breaks the sound barrier right next to the ship.

  • @firechikn91 The "cloud when it breaks the sound barrier" is caused by Prandtl–Glauert singularity and is more commonly called a vapor cone. This is created by a shock-wave coming off the aircraft, and depending upon the environmental factors, it is often created at well below Mach 1. Additionally, I have heard a fighter's sonic boom and have also been this close to fighters as they approached Mach 1. There was no sonic boom caused by this aircraft during this pass. It's a sub-sonic vapor cone.

  • @RavenZ27 I agree with this statement. I was on the uss stennis from 95-99 and have seen plenty of supersonic flybys at flight deck level. Vapor does not necessairly mean supersonic

  • @shortthrow50 Thank you for your confirmation, and thank you as well for your service.

  • i love exploshens

  • @buonisue HA! it's funny cuz your stupid!

  • lol when exploded i heard somebody screaming ''we want more!!''

  • obviously faked airplanes dont usually just explode for no reason... much

  • "20 September 1995 - Just after making a supersonic pass close by the starboard side of the USS John Paul Jones, F-14A-110-GR Tomcat, BuNo 161146, 'NH 112', of VF-213 from the USS Abraham Lincoln, explodes in flight from catastrophic compressor failure, both crew ejecting, suffering burns to the upper body. Crew recovered. Plane goes down in the Central Pacific, ~800 miles W of Guam, and 55 miles from the carrier."

I still don't know why he shouts "oh yeah!" instead of "holy shit!" or something

  • @xAntipop His initial thought may have been that the pilot did a dump and burn of fuel

  • @xAntipop

    "Oh yeah!!! Burn baby BURN!!!!"

  • lol wtf just happen i dont get it

  • Wow, what a bang

  • Why would you include your tag at the end of that video?

  • These F-14 was made in China thats why it was exploded and that dickhead man said YEAH!!! he's fuckin happy cos the Pilot was the one who shag his girlfriend...

  • wtf happened? Ship accidently fire missle?

  • Comment removed

  • hey bob watch this BOOM

  • i think i saw a chute..pilot saved..but bye2 expensive fighter jet..T_T

  • This was F-14A-110-GR Tomcat, BuNo 161146, 'NH 112', of VF-213 from the USS Abraham Lincoln.

  • what happen?

  • hahahahaha lol

  • hahahahahahahaha fuckin turks smelly bastards

  • @jelleyman123 fuck you those were americans

  • Of course the pilot ejected. Everyone eject shit out of their assholes in that situation.

  • the pilot ejected?!?! can you live after that? he was going supersonic...

  • epic firework right there.

  • WTF!?

  • 800 miles from Guam? Meh, stupid people from Anderson Airforce Base.

  • the lucky people

  • dam that sucks hope he ok

  • @firmclock They sighted parachutes, chances are they did ;)

  • epic fail

  • On April 27, 1995, a Blacklions F-14 was making a low level supersonic pass over their carrier battle group, which was returning to USA from a six-month deployment.

The explosion was a result of a catastrophic compressor stall in the starboard engine which severed hydraulic and fuel lines. The crew had bailed out just prior to the explosion and were recovered safely by rescue swimmers from HS-6.

This incident occurred 800 miles west of Guam. That is all. Smoke 'em if ya got 'em.

  • @kevjay777 YES! but you did'nt mention THE REASON/ORIGINE for the catastrophic compressor stall in the starboard engine !!!!!!

the pilot did UNAUTHORISED maneuvers with this F-14 Tomcat.

  • @BOYCOT4YT What is "unauthorized" in an F-14 . . . flying too fast so close to the one trillion dollar floating city? LOL.

  • @kevjay777 read the OFFICIAL crashreport on this case !it was avaible in .PDFfile on internet from the military source.i advise you strongly to read also the genuine handbook of the F-14 Tomcat that was also avaible on internet as a .PDFfile

  • @kevjay777 the procedure of going from SUPERSONIC flight into TRANSONIC flight!(unauthorised because not to be done in a steep climb maneuver)

  • Between :07 and :12 it looks just like all the UFO sighting videos. Perhaps this could be a logical explanation for those videos.

  • WTF HAPPEND TO IT?

  • i bet he jammed a missle and jumped out all like "FUCK YEAH MOTHEA FUCAZ!!! BRING IT ON! BRING IT ON!" but if i were on the boat id be all like" DO A FLIP!"

  • the title #FAIL "Supersonic Accident Crach "

  • wow must of been the fastest plane to blow up while breaking sound barrier

  • @mtvprankes yeah did u see him break sound barrier

  • @desotowheeler it wasnt the sound barrier it was a vapor shield...if he broke the sound barrier every1 on that ship would go deaf....in other words there wouldv been a huge boom

  • Anyone know what happend to the pilot? Did he somehow survive? :S

  • going going GONE

  • holy crap, y did that happen??? my god have mercy on ur people.

  • That is not an f18, it is an f14

  • looked like the tomcat

  • it was

  • gave the gitrs

  • @Bardonboi yes a few years back

  • i saw this on a discovery network channel

  • have they retired those old ass f 14s yet?

  • Uhhh...What happend?

  • Two-Fox-Two?

  • ahh wtf poor f-14 stupid terrist

  • dude its spelt as CRASH

  • dude its spelled not spelt

  • Correct. Spelt is a variety of wheat.

  • That was F-14 ( only plane i went sonic boom in FS).F-14 is a really good plane, Hard to blow down.

  • Haha that' a fucking joke

  • Link:

    Real video 4 Su-27 vs 4 MiG-29

    LIpetsk CPVL (Russian TOP GUN)

  • f-14 tomcat

  • ha the person who made this vid didn't know ho to spell crash lol just saying ok don't get mad and send me a mean message

  • f-14

  • how the fu

  • Wrong. I saw an interview w/ the crew. 2 strapping young Naval Aviators. Toward the end of the vid, if you listen carefully, you can hear a sailor exclaim "2 parachutes...2 parachutes!!"

  • The tags for this video are incorrect. The airplane is an F-14, not an F/A-18. F-14s sometimes simulated cruise missile attacks on carrier battlegroups by making supersonic low-level runs at them. In one case an F-14 exploded, killing both crewmen; the investigation found that under certain circumstances a hot spot developed in a small area of the engine that burned thru an caused the breakup of the aircraft. The engine was modified. This looks like a video of that event.

  • it doesnt matter, tags are for more views, not to be correct

  • @Spectator1959 Disagree. It was just a common 'speed run for fun'; showing off for the smaller ships that didn't work with carriers a lot; usually at the end of a long exercise. Ship appears to be an Arleigh Burke-class DDG, which means this was a late-90s video, when the F-14s were in the process of being retired. Pilot probably just over-G'd an aged airframe. Cameraman yelled that he saw 2 parachutes, so someone was alive at least long enough to pull the ejection handles.

  • @Spectator1959 Yeah a blast like that in the air cld kill any one!

  • @Spectator1959 Aren't you a cleaver boy

  • @Spectator1959 No, these guys made it. "TWO PARACHUTES" succesful ejection.

  • @Spectator1959 or if mositure got in to the engine as it is above the sea it it may have caused this crash

  • @Spectator1959 But both pilots ejected from the aircraft seconds before it blew up, you can even see the ejector seats shooting out.

  • @Spectator1959 good job mate! F-14 it is! I remember a chap arguing with me and he was claiming that all fighters are designated F-16 and only the name changes!!! F-16 Eagle, F-16 Tomcat, F-16 Hornet etc. LOL

  • gute amerikanische technik, daumen hoch!

  • same :p

  • wtf

  • dont say yeah say oh my god

  • u can see the plane take a tight manuver after it passes, doesnt look too tight but at that speed, a slight turn can cause huge amounts of stress. Fatal for any part even slightly damaged.

  • why it exploded!~

i think there is some advanced american technology used in the plane!~

  • i think the engine blow

  • LOL... why when it exploded did I hear a: ¨YEAH!!!!¨ instead of a: Öh NO! people died!¨ O_o

  • at the end he shouts 2 parachutes...

  • Yeah, the way the people reacted, you'd think this was an enemy fighter plane that just got shot down.

  • @fufuangeli1 Because the pilot was ejected i think

  • @fufuangeli1 it was an enemy, they got him xD

  • @fufuangeli1 They may have initially thought the pilot had engaged the afterburners.

  • There must be at least one-hundred versions of this same clip on YouTube, posted under different titles...

  • Did the pilot survive? Why the plane exploded? It is F-14, isn´t it?

  • yes it is an f 14

  • He ejects way before

  • Not fake at all. Not funny at all. Very Real. Pretty amazing footage too. Those Navy guys must've been freaking out.

  • Not fake, this video and the pilot's testimony contributed to the decommissioning of the aircraft in the video (F-14).

  • gajab

  • So that thing gone supersonic...Was the pilot able to launch Parachute????

Supersonic happens when a usual Thing like a plane touches the Surface of the Air.......

  • Almost, it is when the plane goes fast enough to penetrate the layer of the air that it is pushing in front of it. Its is as if the plane goes trough a brick wall.

  • lol gf

  • Someone sead YEAH!

  • that had to hurt . . .

  • it hit something in the air

  • the soundwall...

  • that wouldnt explode the plain as they do it so many times

  • Yeah i'm not saying that's the thing that made it explode.

  • Shit Happens. Deal with it.

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • lol :D

  • wat's happend?

  • i think he dint fly hard enough to really brake sound barrier ore sumthing

  • no you could see the air aroiund the plane at :13. That was when he broke the sound barrier

  • you can also se that he was constant within the south barrier and out of it it supposed to be a quick bang and a quick air burst around him not constant

  • sound barrier is a real barrier

  • it look like something shot at it then came out of the dust/cloud it was an alien

  • you are retarded

  • @coco6345789 that "dust cloud" is what happens when a plane breaks the sound barrier.

  • @coco6345789 lolz idiot that's not a dust cloud

  • what wud happen if it hit a bird at that speed... rofl

  • nice display of the prandtlglauert singularity when it broke the sound barrier

  • I hadn't seeing it on a video before...

  • I like the boiyoiyoiyoing sound at the end of the clip.

  • Comment removed

  • the pilot ejected. the plane crashed though. Shame, you could have bought alot of beer with the money it took for that jet

  • @simonmitchellbird

Hummmmm, not sure the pilot survived at Mach 1 and not sure he ejected. You just see a part of the plane on this video, not his seat.

  • It breaks the sound barrier a couple of times, just look at the cloud!

  • do you know how to spell crash???stupid fuck.

  • ....obviously not dumbo, it's not rocket science is it?

  • looks like a tomcat

  • was that an F-14? the plane had probably been in service for over 20 years, old technology.

  • wtf

  • burned

  • how the plane explode?

  • it drived past the sound berrier, that's why i was cloud around the plane, and it exploded becasuse the presure

  • uh, no...

  • Lol why the hell did everybody yell" woo!!" "YEaaah!!"
