A new high quality mic preamp with 80dB/1dB resolution gain range, exceptionally low latency and optimised audio signal path ensure the superb performance and sound quality for which iLive has become renowned. The smaller iDR-32 provides 32 mic/line preamps and 16 XLR outputs, while the iDR-48 has 48 preamps and 24 outputs. Built-in patchbays enable the user to split, cross-patch and map channels and sends, requiring fewer sockets than equivalent fixed architecture consoles in many applications.
The MixRack houses the mic preamps, sends, DSP and digital snake interface, which is controlled at the mix position. The Mix engineBoth MixRacks feature the same iDR-64 RackExtra DSP engine employed in the flagship iLive Series, providing full processing and mixing for 64 channels and 32 configurable mix buses as well as 8 stereo FX engines based on emulations of popular industry classics. Imagine the gear needed for an equivalent analogue system to provide 64 gates
Allen & Heath iDR-48 48x24 Remote DSP Engine/Stage Rack 48 input 24 output remote dsp engine/stage rack. Includes Ace for connection to control surface. Includes Pl-Anet network port for remote fader panel integration. I wish I could work on a great piece of kit like that. Sadly, I'm just a common mortal. And I don't work the shiny lights on stage, so no one cares XD
I just got to work on an iDR-48 MixRack/ iLive T112 surface setup, and was quickly impressed. Just downloaded Editor software for Mac and iPhone app too. Really looking forward to working with this system.
@Jubilant77 The software for laptop (both mac and pc) is called iLive Editor, and it should work with most of the Allen & Heath iLive mixers. There is also an app out now for iPad, iPod, and iPhone called iLive Tweak, so you could also mix the concert wirelessly in the audience on the smaller device.
Still playing catch-up with Yamaha. It's basically a more complicated, worse work-flow M7CL with the addition of some 1/4" inserts. No thanks. I do like the dedicated digital snake, but at least with the M7CL, you have the option of doing either. The M7 will do everything this thing does, and it is SOOO easy to use and simple. Very clean and uncluttered.
What?? The M7 is a terrible sounding console! And the only real work-flow benefit you have with the M7 over the iLive-T is all inputs are assigned their own fader.
i AGREE.. im head sound Engineer at my church. i had interest the M7CL until i used 1 in store & live at a Large Christian youth convention..
Can We say NEVER AGAIN! ive used alot of consoles the M7CL is unfriendly to use especially if u have a short window to learn it. Then the 3 i used sounded horrible. THE iLive demoed it at my church. WOW!! easy to use & sounded fantastic. we have 5 differ choirs large praise team
we're purchasing t112 idr48 & a Turbosound sound system next month
Maybe, but with the FCC recently putting the squeeze on all things wireless, plus the ever-increasing amount of interference, it would be extremely difficult at best considering the massive volume of information transfer you're talking about. Not to mention that it would be highly unreliable with today current technology. There is a trend towards more wireless with things like Amplifier control and DSP, as well as Console manipulation, but for Snake use, we're nowhere near that yet. Unreliable
