As an adult, we choose how & what actions are taken in or out of the presence of children. Our actions can be reflected upon a child in a positive or negative manor. Children look up to us, we are hero's to them. We act as rolemodels,grandfathers, grandmothers, mother's, father's, brother's and best freinds. What kind of influence are we presenting to the children of today, when they are going to be the adults of tommorow. Choices that we make today can influence their choices of tomorrow.
Bill O'Reilly doesn't know anything, it's kinda embarrasing seeing a comedian clearly knowing more on these subjects than Bill. It's kind of Bill's job to be reflected on these things. Way to go Tom :)

lmfao tom green was a rapper in the rap group called organized rhyme...billy is a fucking dumbass! i love how tom green acts like he knows no more then bill himself about rap! haha fuck....check it out organized rhyme reunited /watch?v=QnNjlrJWJ6I&feature=related
Tom Green morally offended about anything? Bill-O is truly a clown: salacious, libertine, lesbianism. He had just learned those words 5 minutes before this aired. What a Bitch-Ho. Why would he have Tom Green on?
@gusterk Another thing is that it's hard to explain to a child that it's ok to listen to rap but not actually speak and behave that way. They're simple minded and to them it translates as: It's bad but fun to listen to but don't do it. That's a confusing message especially when rap is so pervasive in the culture. It's even worse for inner city youth because their parents don't have hours to spend on such discussions since they're more concerned with survival and immediate income.
there are millions of badly parented children that listen to rap music and you want to blame the music????? WHY ARE THESE PEOPLE SO IGNORANT? How can you blame the music that badly parented children listen to when they act out? Is it really not that obvious? Its the fucking parenting.
@gusterk I don't like Bill but i agree with him about the rap music being harmful to the mentalities of children who don't have good parents or even parents at all. Inner city youth, even youth from middle class families are in a pathetic state because gangsta rap culture encourages a crooked and intellectually degrading lifestyle.
Having bad parents sucks on its own, but growing up in a gangsta rap culture just compounds that bad situation and makes it worse.
I think there's a lot of personal bias here for Tom Green and against O'Reilly, and it's pettifogging everyone's judgement on THIS particular debate, in THIS context.
I'm a huge fan of Tom Green myself, and most of the time I'm AGAINST whatever argument O'Reilly is making, but I have to take exception here.
O'Reilly came with his guns loaded. He stated his points clearly and concisely.
Maybe his views on 'rap' as a genre are a little misguided, but that's not what this debate was about.
How is that racist? I don't know if you've noticed, but the white race is declining.. How is it racist to have pride in your race, and to be more than a little upset when it goes down the shitter?
@gdoddmeta3608 Hey man I am on your side. I am a white man in America who lived in the 80's and saw rap and the black culture explode in the early 90's. I went home after 7 years and did not see even 1 white girl with a white boyfriend, every white girl had one or several blacks around her. I hate that Happy Feet 2, a movie for kids, has baby penguins acting black and rapping. I hate that I can't find a dance club that doesn't play rap. My sister and cousins all act black. It sucks!
I think when it's obvious someone you like gets pounded into the ground in a debate you tend to claim bias instead of factually dissect the debate as a whole and each sides position.
Your claim, in respect to your bias towards Tom or Bill isn't something you can prove by telling me so. I'll have to stick with who you seems to be supporting in the face of overtly obvious facts.
Bill's argument, of 10 year olds being more so MTV's responsibility than their parents, is asinine.
I don't even care for Bill O'Reilly honestly. I don't feel one way or the other about him. But I've been a Tom Green fan since the 90's.. I'm sorry if you can't understand the idea of 'open-mindedness', the idea of not always being on the side of whoever you like more.
It's just so 'hip' to hate on O'Reilly.. the people that come to this page see every one else posting negative comments about him, so they join in.. It's called 'herd instinct', and it mystifies.
Again, moot point. I cannot prove one way or another if you like or dislike either. I can merely see you have a weak ass argument at best and an obviously Bill O' Biased argument at worst.
As for being hip, I'm so opinionated I doubt I could ever be accused of following the crowd, I can't speak for others here, but I think it's obvious that Tom made a fool of Bill O' Reilly here. Unless of course you agree with Bill's flawed argument, and then I'm sure you'd think otherwise.
'10 year olds being more so MTV's responsibility than parents'
This is NOT his argument.. Parents have the GREATEST responsibility for their children, but MTV also has responsibility, taking into consideration that a good amount of children ARE unsupervised when they watch television. And I think that's what you're missing here.. MOST PARENTS TODAY DON'T GIVE A SHIT. MOST PARENTS ALLOW TELEVISION AND VIDEO GAMES TO RAISE THEIR CHILDREN.
I'll gladly count up the amount of times and the fervor to which he states parents are responsible, and then do the same for MTV's role.
Again, if your 10 year old, is up past 9pm unsupervised watching TV, there is really only 1/2 people you can blame for them learning something you'd rather them not learn.
I'm not missing anything. You can't say "PARENTS TODAY DON'T GIVE A SHIT" and then not blame them entirely for their kids being flawed
... plenty of people who live and breathe swear words, but are not huge fans of rap. Just sayin... also, if your going to invite someone on your show, let them speak an entire sentence without interrupting.
Bill O'Reilly is stupid on lesbians. What is wrong with showing women kissing. There's a reason people hate lesbians and gays is because the parents hate lesbians. 10 year olds girls (and boys for that matter) has every right to learn what same gender kissing is... As to rap, both rap and movies alike affect our culture, yes. Its not the rap that creates the languages, its what they (children) grow up hearing in their houses (by parents or older siblings). I don't listen to rap, but I know ...
You have to be pretty fucking retarded to make a man who has jacked off a horse, swung a newborn baby around his head by its umbilical cord and simulated sex with a rotten decomposing moose in the name of entertainment look calm, intelligent and rational...
"that's kinda fun.. We can say 'bitches and hoes' on the Fox News Channel?... We should be careful though, there could be kids watching" Ha! That was great
Eh, not really. I mean, It wasn't a zinger or anything, when you take into account that CNN is not marketed to children and young teenagers, whereas MTV IS. "There could be kids watching". What fucking kids will actually sit down and watch cnn? The ratio of this demographic watching cnn to watching mtv is probably around 1 to 1 billion.
This is an age group that will believe and introject most of what they see and hear on a regular basis; there has to be discretion..
I'd have to disagree. Bill O'Reilly is in another arena intellectually, and his points are more valid.
With power comes responsibility. MTV has great power; it has the power to shape the collective consciousness of the millions of children and teenagers (the demographic MTV targets) who watch the programs and take it in.. Bill emphasizes the importance of parental guidance... Tom Green denounces the psychological effects of 'entertainment'.
Yes the LEGO playland arena, lol. What points did he make that were "more" valid than Toms.
FOX shapes the minds of the millions of the voting public. How is MTV more relevant than FOX?
Tom actually was the one bringing up and emphasizing the importance of parental guidance, Bill merely agreed and kept pushing the TV raises kids ideology. Did you watch the video? LoL...
FOX shaping the minds of voters is a completely different issue. Voters are ADULTS who can ultimately make up their own minds (more or less) to a greater extent. Most of the people watching MTV, however, are children and young teenagers who will believe and introject most of everything they see and hear.
At 3:18, Bill is the first to bring up 'parental guidance'.. nowhere in this video do I see Tom bringing up or 'emphasizing' parental guidance.. Did YOU watch the video?
LoL. Adults who watch and believe FOX can no more make up their mind or think for themselves than a child watching MTV. It's a fact.
You mean at 3:02? lol. "that's again parental whatever" is 100% advocating parental guidance in a serious manner. Follow that by stating over and over stating it shouldn't be there and it's appropriateness. Bill, during this interview, was in NO way seriously advocating parental guidance .
Well, I think there's a difference between an adult watching fox and being brainwashed into voting for or against someone, and a child (10 years old or 17 years old) watching MTV and incorporating attitudes and life lessons and entire value systems based on 'jersey shore' and the vma slutfest and whatever else comes on..
I think anyone who reads these comments and isn't biased one way or the other will understand who had the 'weak ass argument'. Remember, your original argument was comprised of:
-Bill wins? LoL in conclusion, "Bitches and Hoes"-
and
-You know you're a tool when Tom Green looks more thoughtful than you.LoL.-
You went from that, to TRYING to sound intellectual and factual.. I don't know man.. it just sounds like you're full of shit if you ask me..
wow, dragonball z sucks... I think I stopped watching that show when I was like, 12.. like, around the same time I started reading and having interest in girls...
The whole thesis of his argument is that MTV is responsible for the items they place on the air, and as such are responsible for anything, that Bill deems, detrimental.
Tom Green has a, more intelligent, and quite frankly more provable, thesis. This being; MTV and Rap music should be taken as seriously as a movie would AND if your kids are watching something you as a parent disapprove of you shouldn't be letting them, AND you should be discussing with them the details of that disapproval.
Also, wouldn't have the 2003 MTV Movie Awards been aired at like 5pm instead of 9PM (ET/PT) if it were truly being marketed towards "kids". Teens of course but it's a stretch to say kids.
Bill's point - "Movie, is a movie is a one shot deal"
LoL really? No one recites movie dialogue, plays out scenes, or rewatches movies, lol..
Tom's point - Perfect comparison of Rap lyrics to movies. "Movies are just as large a part of culture as MTV is"
You're splitting hairs.. Children can and will stay up after 9pm. Most children have televisions in their rooms anyway, and they probably stay up watching television long after 9pm, since most of them are being raised by television.
And it's not much of a stretch to say teens ARE kids.. Especially the 13-15 y/o's who are the target audience. These are KIDS.
"Bill wins? LoL"
Yeah, I can see what kind of person I'm talking to here..
While 13-17 year olds fall within the definition of a kid or child, it's a stretch to then use kids of children as the defined demographic of MTV. Kids and Children refer to any age below 18. I doubt greatly that MTV's demographic is from 0-10. So to say MTV markets to children or kids, while by definition is true, is a disingenuous statement.
Not to mention the age Bill reiterates continuously throughout the piece is 10. It's such an asinine argument.
People who talk shit on Tom Green and see him only as a complete ass clown (which that's why he's fucking hilarious and why people love him; it's his schtick!), hopefully this video helps to cast him in a different light, and one that will show Tom as a person and human being rather than JUST an entertainer. I've always thought Tom Green is fucking hilarious. Long live Tom Green. "He's a molester... He's a CHIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLDDDDD molester!!!!" -Freddy Got Fingered
"I'm not a rapper" What? Why would he say that. He most certainly is a rapper. He was in Organized Rhyme. The just performed live on television a couple weeks ago.

Potato22Head 2 months ago
there are millions of badly parented children that listen to rap music and you want to blame the music????? WHY ARE THESE PEOPLE SO IGNORANT? How can you blame the music that badly parented children listen to when they act out? Is it really not that obvious? Its the fucking parenting.
gusterk 2 months ago
@gusterk I don't like Bill but i agree with him about the rap music being harmful to the mentalities of children who don't have good parents or even parents at all. Inner city youth, even youth from middle class families are in a pathetic state because gangsta rap culture encourages a crooked and intellectually degrading lifestyle.
Having bad parents sucks on its own, but growing up in a gangsta rap culture just compounds that bad situation and makes it worse.

diareahmaster 3 months ago
I think there's a lot of personal bias here for Tom Green and against O'Reilly, and it's pettifogging everyone's judgement on THIS particular debate, in THIS context.
I'm a huge fan of Tom Green myself, and most of the time I'm AGAINST whatever argument O'Reilly is making, but I have to take exception here.
O'Reilly came with his guns loaded. He stated his points clearly and concisely.
Maybe his views on 'rap' as a genre are a little misguided, but that's not what this debate was about.
gdoddmeta3608 3 months ago
@gdoddmeta3608 O'Reilly is a racist. What he is really saying is he does not like the fact that blacks are taking over mainstream America.
hallnoats4ever 3 months ago
@hallnoats4ever
How is that racist? I don't know if you've noticed, but the white race is declining.. How is it racist to have pride in your race, and to be more than a little upset when it goes down the shitter?
gdoddmeta3608 3 months ago
@gdoddmeta3608 Hey man I am on your side. I am a white man in America who lived in the 80's and saw rap and the black culture explode in the early 90's. I went home after 7 years and did not see even 1 white girl with a white boyfriend, every white girl had one or several blacks around her. I hate that Happy Feet 2, a movie for kids, has baby penguins acting black and rapping. I hate that I can't find a dance club that doesn't play rap. My sister and cousins all act black. It sucks!

@gdoddmeta3608
Theobrothers 3 months ago
@Theobrothers
It's called 'herd instinct', and it mystifies.
gdoddmeta3608 3 months ago
@gdoddmeta3608
Theobrothers 2 months ago
@Theobrothers
MOST PARENTS ALLOW TELEVISION AND VIDEO GAMES TO RAISE THEIR CHILDREN.
gdoddmeta3608 3 months ago
@gdoddmeta3608
That was his argument.

Bill is so ignorant.

Things that make this Interview Awesome.
1. Tom Green holding back laughing throughout the interview.
2. Tom pretending to only know rap a bit more than Bill, when he was a rapper in Canada.
3. Tom showing more serious thought about parenting than Bill.
4. Bill calling Tom, Mr. Green, LMAO.
You know you're a tool when Tom Green looks more thoughtful than you.
LoL.
Theobrothers 3 months ago 47
@Theobrothers
Tom Green denounces the psychological effects of 'entertainment'.
gdoddmeta3608 3 months ago
@gdoddmeta3608
LoL...
Theobrothers 3 months ago
@Theobrothers
Did YOU watch the video?
gdoddmeta3608 3 months ago
@gdoddmeta3608
Theobrothers 3 months ago
@Theobrothers
Well, I think there's a difference between an adult watching fox and being brainwashed into voting for or against someone, and a child (10 years old or 17 years old) watching MTV and incorporating attitudes and life lessons and entire value systems based on 'jersey shore' and the vma slutfest and whatever else comes on..
gdoddmeta3608 3 months ago
@gdoddmeta3608
There is really no difference.
I really can't agree that most "children" get their "life lessons" from MTV. LoL
There is no factual basis for such an opinion.
Theobrothers 2 months ago
@Theobrothers

1. Do you know my age?
2. Did you see when I posted the DBZ video and when I stated I made it?
3. Using that information can you calculate how old I was when I watched it?
4. How does liking DBZ correlate with ones intelligence quotient?
"I think" is a barometer of proof? Interesting.
ROFL. You are seriously proving that I'm an idiot and you aren't...
Theobrothers 1 month ago
The whole thesis of his argument is that MTV is responsible for the items they place on the air, and as such are responsible for anything, that Bill deems, detrimental.
Tom Green has a, more intelligent, and quite frankly more provable, thesis. This being; MTV and Rap music should be taken as seriously as a movie would AND if your kids are watching something you as a parent disapprove of you shouldn't be letting them, AND you should be discussing with them the details of that disapproval.
Theobrothers 3 months ago
Also, wouldn't have the 2003 MTV Movie Awards been aired at like 5pm instead of 9PM (ET/PT) if it were truly being marketed towards "kids". Teens of course but it's a stretch to say kids.
Bill's point - "Movie, is a movie is a one shot deal"
LoL really? No one recites movie dialogue, plays out scenes, or rewatches movies, lol..
Tom's point - Perfect comparison of Rap lyrics to movies. "Movies are just as large a part of culture as MTV is"
Bill wins? LoL
in conclusion, "Bitches and Hoes"
Theobrothers 3 months ago
@Theobrothers
"Bill wins? LoL"
Yeah, I can see what kind of person I'm talking to here..
gdoddmeta3608 3 months ago
@gdoddmeta3608
Theobrothers 3 months ago
People who talk shit on Tom Green and see him only as a complete ass clown (which that's why he's fucking hilarious and why people love him; it's his schtick!), hopefully this video helps to cast him in a different light, and one that will show Tom as a person and human being rather than JUST an entertainer.
