  • Clodagh? Orlagh? Declan? GOOD GOD. Those are some Scottish names...

  • LOL close Irish names

  • @ghleannadubh Aww, it makes me sad that I was wrong about that. I figured you were Scottish because your username contains "dubh".

So, are those names not present in Gaelic or in Scotland? They look so Scottish.

  • I'm glad to know the origin of the version since I'm sure people when ask me when I pull it out at session. I just love that version. You are right, I my Castagnari keeps me delightfully busy. I've only been playing box 6 months but wanted to for years so I'm in heaven. It's wonderful to have videos like yours for inspiration!

  • You are an amazing piper. And you are right, your pipes and Orlagh's Castagnari are a perfect blend. I'm working on learning by ear to your Concertina reel on my Catagnari and it's going very well. :-)

  • Thanks again! that version of the Concertina Reel, we got from a great accordion player, John McGoran (Belfast). Those Castagnari's are beautiful instruments and I'm sure it gives you loads of hours of fun!

  • Absolutely Brilliant! I love, love, love this! The accordion and pipes are perfect together.

  • Thanks for the kind words Dr Jill, chanter needing new reed, playing a little shrill. Orlagh's Castagnari blends beautifully!
