Old Indy was awesome. Lucas sucks ass for not having him on the DVD versions. It also sucks ass that they edited episodes that don't go together as movies. While "Phantom Train of Doom" type episodes work, with two separate stories that link together, movies like "Masks of Evil" which combines a realistic spy-thriller with a fanciful fantasy-horror adventure don't work. Both are great eps in their own right they don't work together for a movie.
@bestbuyextras221 Hi, there. Actually, I do have the Florence bookends (in English w/Flemish subtitles) as well as the pair for Peking 1910 but haven't bothered uploading them yet. Been waiting for a rainy day...Funny that you followed suit and titled your clip "Part 14"!
P.S. It's strange that your post was flagged as spam.
I saw old indiana jones chronicles and i thought it was going to be the crystal skulls. lmfao. so sad ford is probably nearly as old as the codger the got to do this. i loved harrison ford as indiana jones, it's a shame river phoenix died, i would have loved for him to assume the mantle at around this stage of his life. i am totally ok with a new indiana jones as long as it's done well. for the record, done well means no shia lebouf
no offense to anyone who enjoys this, but I believe that Indy's character in this is badly portrayed, and that Indy belongs in the 1940's, not 1992
im sorry, but i prefer Jones fighting Nazis, not informing little snot kids about his great life, who don't even care and don't know how to show respect to a once great archeologist!
I can see why some are disappointed that the old man Indiana is not included in the recently released Young Indiana Jones DVD boxed sets. I had not seen these original introductions, with the elderly Indiana, but now that I have seen them, I like them.
Lucas didn't make the show for ca$h profit and he actually lost money on it, originally. Old Indy might not be to everyone's taste but the series was excellent, whether it's Indiana Jones or not.
You stubbed your toe eh? Well I remember when I stubbed my toe in the Battle of Verdun, the year was 1916 and my fellow comrades had turned into hobgoblins by the menacing German she-werewolves. 4 years later I was climbing the Andes mountains on a quest to reverse the curse when I was stopped by a hermit looking for his favorite necklace and uh....what was a talking about? Ah you damn spoiled brats don't know how good you have it these days!
is there an opening to the "attack of the hawkmen" and the "phantom train" episodes? if you do have them, make sure that you include the ending music of both, it was a wonderful soundtrack too!
The TV series about the young Indiana Jones was extremely entertaining. This seems to be a tantalising excerpt with the actual stories just hinted at. Those who do not wish to see Indana Jones as an old man must remember that he was very very unlikely to reach 40 let alone 93. He has to be old to relate his many adventures, and those who have complained will be old too one day,if they are lucky.
As for sliding down the bannister, that just showed he was still young at heart cf."Greystoke".
I don't understand why people do not like Old Indy. He's lived to 93! People change a little, gain more wisdom, gain more patience or get bitter because of the trials and adversities of life. Why can't he be different from the Indy of the movies and TV series?
Indiana Jones, as a fictional character, can never die. And where there are real-life adventurers, Indy lives. "Old Indy" is the guy you casually know who has seen history...
There were 3 seasons worth but it would've been great to see a fourth season. I've only seen a few episodes myself so I'm considering purchasing the first season to begin.
its disappointing that hes not as witty as he used to be, id expect him to still be smart, and i cant believe he has a damn cat, and hes starting to suffer from alzheimers aha!

George Hall was the only good thing about this utter crap show that casted a charisma free plank of wood as indy. "burn in hell"?! you blithering idiot!
Oh my god, I remember this episode. Isn't there one where old indy reminisces after getting in a fender bender?
Too bad these old indy clips are edited out of the dvds. They really gave context to the story. Without the bookends, some of the episodes seem kind of ambiguous and messageless
The original series pilot Curse of the Jackal was one of the best things produced for TV ever! The bookends are really funny, especially at the end. Thanks for posting those, Stoo and I hope to see Part 2 coming soon.

Actually, Harrison Ford is just about old enough now for Lucas to add these "old" segments back into the DVDs with the real actor playing the part.
Evadman9876 5 months ago
Produced by Rick McCallum? Shivers.
Now I know why Mr.Plinkett (a.k.a RedLetterMedia) shows such loathing of him in his Star Wars prequal reviews.
Suddenly it all makes sense. George Lucas and all his yes men.
