@fatbiscuit The true odds of the Field are 5:4. The odds paid are 1:1 on 3, 4, 9, 10 or 11 and 2:1 on 2 and 12. It has a 5.56% house edge. It covers 16 of the possible 36 rolls of the dice. It may seem like a bad bet but I've won a lot on the field and the proposition bets. Dice control works. It isn't fail-proof but if executed correctly it can significantly reduce the house edge.
