I am just starting to learn and this is perfect for me...I dont need avery fast fill in and I dont need to pbe perfect. I just need to be able to play something recognizabl to keep me entertained and interested in continuing to learn and play.. best way to teach some one nothing at all is to try and tach them everything at once.

wrong tabs. you should invest in the book called "classic RUSH bass anthology series". good guesses though some of the parts are close.

i play a bit different but i think it souunds more real,most of it is real close but i use the 5th fret on e stringin the mainpart of song wich i notice u is not u are close to original but you still need work,but you could still pull it off with out too many ppl figurin it out that it is wrong ,,,,overall it is very good tho,,,,keep pluggin away mate

Dude I love that clean perfect tone you're getting out off that thing! My only complaint though is the tabs on the video. Honestly it'd be a lot more helpful if you just uploaded your tabs onto a website and gave out a link. But again great cover man!

When the guitar comes in at the end of the 7/16 part there is a slight change of the 6th and 7 note on the progression first and third time through. I caught it from learning the Keyboard part..I had been playing it wrong for 20 years. Not all Wrong as Mr 2112 said

Very good, but you are overplaying the part under the verse. Check Mastertracks18 channel for Tom Sawyer bass- it is Geddy's actual line and you can really hear what he's doing.

Yet some do. The point is that it's not your place to decide who does and who doesn't, especially when you don't even know the person you're talking to. That would be like me saying "oh, this kid doesn't know anything about tone, he's just a high school freshman!" At least the other guy has some credibility; 9 times out of 10 a music teacher has to know SOMETHING about music to teach it. You've got nothing backing you.

i know that some do, but from my past music teachers, only one of them knew what they were talking about. and i have friends at my school that say the music teachers there don't really know what they're talking about. maybe it's just were i live that the people that teach music suck. but from my past they have all sucked. and some music teachers could know about the history of music and not tone, pitch, scales, and other things of that nature

I believe what Maestrp was doing was just showing the artist in the video that he has somewhat of an authority on what good tone and bad tone is because he is a teacher and teachers are expected to know these sorts of fundamentals. I'm sure that you, hardcore, know about "tone and shit," but I think that your comment towards Maestrp was a little unnecessary and over the top. I don't expect you to apologize, just rethink how you treat people... especially as an ambitious musician.
