The Bible can only be understood by those that believe. If you do not believe the words will just be foolishness to you. It makes no sense because the vision of your mind and heart are clouded by the lies of the god of this world. I pray that the God of all glory will interrupt your life with the truth. The lack of a capital p in pagan is just ignorance. I see people neglect to capitalize God when it should and it annoys me. Likewise, I'm also annoyed at the capitalization of God when it isn't even used as a proper noun, such as "The Christian God". "The Christian god is God" would be proper. It's technically "proper" to capitalize God's pronouns, such as "Him" and "His Will", but this "rule" makes me want to throw up and there's no modern law obligating us to do so.

@Genin99 Prayer is not magic. You aren't "sending out energy" when you talk to God, you are speaking to Him as a child speaks to their Father. It is relationship not a method or process. God decides whether He wants to answer the prayer or not. You aren't changing anything. It's up to God to change something. Magic is accessing the supernatural force of evil that comes from devils to try to change reality. It is forbidden by God, and those who practice it abide in His wrath.

I didn't say your changing anything when you pray I'm saying your god does all the changing. You can't talk to your god directly because you're not the only human that he listens too and like every other god he just hears you through the messages you send him.

God has no need of anything, no need of my "energy"..I get everything I need from Him, and He need receive nothing from me He hears my words, and His Son and Holy Spirit mediate on my behalf. Because of Jesus Christ, I have the right to call God my Father. It is a personal relationship and not a process or transaction.

@pastpresentfutureful Magic, devils, and God all have the same source: the human imagination. Also, in the Bible God magically creates Adam and Eve and the Universe before he created any devils. Magic = the violation of the laws of physics, and willing matter (and complex lifeforms such as humans) into existence is a flagrant and gross violation of said scientific laws. Even if there were a god he have to be subject to the laws of science and need to utilize evolution.

On the whole black magick thing, it's not black magick or white magick because no matter which one you are using magick is magick. The colors of magick come people for a moral stand point for anyone who doesn't know this already.

@PaganTeacher I agree agree with you, although, I think it makes a clearer point for her to use terminology that the other side of the argument is more familiar with. The magic they use is harmful and being used with malicious intent, and to those not familiar with the idea that magic can't be classified as black or white see these as characteristics of black magic and therefore get the point better. That's how I see it anyway.

However one could understand that when one is using black magick, it is because they themselves as the vessel send out the negative intentions. Negative intentions onto energy makes the magick black. These guys seem like part of the New Apostolic Reformation, a movement of Neo-Pentacostal Protestants that has been much in the news lately, due to Rick Perry's "The Response". As for Crowley's definition of magick I've often felt it was far to open ended to be of any use. It can mean anything from a hoodoo job spell, to a runic ward to brewing a cup of coffee.

This doesn't surprise me. I was attacked by black magic as a Christian and even after. If that doesn't go to prove anything I don't know what will. I was strangled, beaten up, haunted.
