I have been looking into this. For an account of Feigenbaum's execution see New York Times of 28 April 1896. He claimed then he was innocent of Joanna Hoffmann's murder in the US.
There is a certain amount of logic in the killer being a sailor. The killer knew the East End very well and would have had to blend in. The prostitutes had to trust him. There were a lot of Germans in the area - and even more Jews who spoke a language very similar to German, Some Germans worked in the abbatoirs so may have had blood on them and passed accordingly. However how he got back on ship when he must have had blood on him is beyond me.

i have been researching jack the ripper for some time now and i believe that
a) It could have been a woman, Because women do have the power to do something this horrific.
b) A doctor, The uterus that was removed from the women was done very carefully.
c) someone who has enough spite and hatred of prostitues to do this.
im publishing a book about it soon too. i actually hope the mystery is never solved to be honest.... better left in the closet if u ask me...

@akatsukigrl1990 Nah, if there was ever a way to identify Jack the Ripper, I wanna know. I'll give you that he could have been a doctor, or someone who had anatomical knowledge, but it seems very unlikely it was a woman. I've also questioned the assumption he hated prostitutes. Why try to forcibly abduct someone who could attract undue attention and possibly escape, when you can just have them lead you to a private place and make themselves vulnerable to you?

All it is is a theory.. no offence to this guy but I don't believe they can pin point who Jack the ripper was.. Jack the ripper did mutilate the bodies and did take organs from the bodies.. I have read a lot of books and theories on the Jack the ripper case and I think they have to stop looking for the killer as its to difficult to find evidence to help now..

@KUPPSKAGNEY Trevor's theory (which I don't particularly agree with) is that the Ripper didn't remove the organs that were missing from the bodies, but that they were stolen from the bodies while in the mortuary to be used by medical students. It doesn't help the Megan doesn't know the difference between "dismembered" (which the victims most certainly weren't) and "disembowelled" (which they were).

in my thoery jack the ripper was a woman. a woman who was married to the love of her life. but her love cheated on her many times with a hooker but she forgave him, then he did it again! she then became insane then started killing hookers because of what her husband did to her. she then knew if she wrote a letter to the police and put in the name jack the ripper, everyone will think the culprit is a man thus, no one has ever figured out who the real killer is, as for her husband i dont know.

Only their uteruses were extracted from their bodies. It was written in American newspapers that Tumblety had a collection of women's uteruses. The uterus is the core of a woman. A man who has deep resentment/hatred for women may find that robbing a woman of her "core" is the epitome of revenge.

and of course to me, he hated women, that much is clear, but he would have appeared normal, and wouldnt have stood out in the croud. Blended in well say. no cape and silly hat. And no hoooge mistache that Tumbletey had...any witness who saw that and gave it as a statment would 100% proove it was him. Im guessing he hated women and prostitutes were easy prey as some ppl think he only hated prostitutes. Unless he caught something off a prostitute and blamed them hmm

if the killer wanted to leave a letter why not leave it near the body of the victims to proove it was by him....i think the letters are more than likley all hoakes. I dont think it was Tumbletey either, 1 he was homesexual, 9 times out of 10 homesexual serial killers kill men or have hatred for MEN, not women. I agree in the fact he was local, in that he knew the area so well its what gave him such confidence to kill when ppl were still around.

i dont think marriot is correct, all he has is theories, no real evidence. For starters his motive...as in being a psychopath with an illness, there have been alot of other suspects that had just as much psychotic tendencies in the area too. Plus he was foreign, some witness said THEY SAW A VICTIM TALKING to a suspect minuites before the victims body was descovered. He ran back to ship....covered in blood, noone saw hmm yeah right. Also theres no evidence he was at every murder scene

Francis Tumblety is Jack the Ripper. Marriot's conclusions are basically based on one man's arrest. He came up with no real evidence to back up this theory.

What nonsense. 'I decided to look at merchant seaman and found this guy'. So if you'd decided to look at school teachers you would have found someone else! End of the day it had to be someone local otherwise he would have aroused suspicion. All foreigners were questioned. Furthermore prostitutes would have reported foreigners who they had conversations with as surely the killer had conversations with prostitutes other than the ones he killed who for one reason or another he didnt engage.
