More journalists arrested in Eritrea- BBC- September 24, 2001- UK
At least seven journalists who had worked for the independent newspapers in Eritrea have been arrested since Sunday, according to diplomatic sources.
They include some of Eritrea's best-respected journalists and editors. Some of the journalists who said they expect to be arrested are also former liberation fighters.

Thousands of jubilant Ethiopians are out on the streets of their capital celebrating the news that Ethiopian troops have captured a key town in the disputed border area.
The celebrations began shortly after national radio announced that the Ethiopian flag was now flying over Zalambessa and Eritrean forces had been routed.

Four Ethiopian MiG fighters swept in over Asmara's international airport, bombing and firing rockets at a military airstrip next to it.
