  • lol well moving 6 feet backward isnt going to help you much, you should have kept the camera rolling not everyone got to see what happened with such saftey

  • the tsunami was on december 26 2004 not the 12 th

  • this hotel is beautiful...the new renovations look really good!

  • this is sad ---n dumbass the tsunami hit on december 26 2004

  • i dont kno wat it is but this footage reminds me of titanic for some reason

  • why does the hotel hit a iceburg ?

  • OMg lmfa0!!

  • no - Leonardo Di Caprio dies. woo hoo!!!

  • It was on December the 26th Boxing day

  • It definitely didn't happen on december 12 that's for sure, it was like 25th or something like that.

  • I was in thailand when the tsunami came. even I didnt now if we should run or just stay there on the beach and see everything, then it came bigger waves and then in one second, I was full of water over me. soo it is hard to now WHEN you should run.

  • Somebody clean the pool! Dang stupid people who didnt know to run and GET UPWARD and drowned are in it!

  • as that lady said....shit

  • Here in Puerto Rico we have those like everyday. Really! It's no biggie.

  • wasn't it december 26?

  • To see why running doesn't really improve your chances a great deal, go to www.morontube.com*

  • Haha, great site. A Boeing 737's cruising speed is roughly 927km/h (somewhere around 580 miles per hour), and some tsunamis should hit that, like ours here.

Granted, a tsunami is bigger and thus easier to spot than a 737 (in theory), but the analogy holds. If a 737 plows into your lawn while you're standing in it, it must've been your fault for not running away!

  • Well exactly. That's a great analogy, to be fair. These people who say "run away" - exactly which direction do they mean? It's a wave that occupies the entire coast as well as going inland faster than you can even drive. A quarter of a million people didn't die because they didn't know how to run.

  • see ya swwiming pool

  • If i see a big wave i m already running wonder WHY dey didnt

  • I hate Tsunami!!! Sux !!

  • I always said not to have a swimming pool when natural beach is just miles away; Probably the engineers who construct beach resorts must learn something;.......leave space for water ( like ditch ) and wait for Tsunami.

  • Scary stuff. Nice urgency as the woman realizes this is going to be fugly.

  • what the fuck were those people doing on the ground "watching it" fucking idiots, if i knew a tsunami was headed I would get the fuck out of there, or to the highest ground possible. RIP to all of those that were lost in this tragic disaster

  • Don't be so silly. They DIDN'T know what was coming or how bad it'd be. You can see/hear them coming to understand as the video goes on.

  • wtf dude?! u think tsunamis occur every day??! they probably don't know shit about it

  • wrong date...it was dec. 26, 2004
