  • i have a female bearded dragon and lot of love

  • oh i'm sooooooooooooo looking forward to they the delivery comes next week on monday just can't wait i love lizards

  • Armadillo girdled lizards FTW

    But these are awesome too

  • wat do baby dragons eat? i just got one hes only 8 week old

  • @gezzapete small crickets and really fine veggies. diet should be 80% live 20% plant if im correct double check with google and other vids

  • @ShogunGaming That's correct for babies, not for adults, for adults its about 80-85 % Plant matter, and 15-20 % Bugs.

  • This video actually helped me a lot. I have a tank but it's 10 times the size of that one my sister bought it for me as a Christmas present. I've heard that bark is better then sand is this true?

  • Now I want a bearded dragon..... But I hate bugs........ FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-

  • @SuperShadowMew I had the same problem there no where near as bad as you think i just keep mine in a cupboard beardies are worth it :)

  • @SuperShadowMew

hey i got a bynoe gecko and i HATE bugs but i still feed him lol

  • what kind of day bulb is that and how many watts is it

  • I got one yesterday :)

  • They look so much harder to look after than i first thought :L I'm not sure if i should get one because i'm busy the majority of the day and i need a pet thats easy to look after and friendly because ive had a really unfriendly pet and hated ever second of it . this video makes it sound like you have to be so precise with them and do i have to feed them live insects becuase that would freak me out?

  • Comment removed

  • Can anyone tell me what that fixture was that he used for the UVB if so where please message me

  • This is miles better than expertvillage.

  • @0YtsanBlowout0

    i no right

  • I am really interested in a Bearded Dragon, but I hate insects :/ can they sustain their health just on vegetables and plants, or will I have to get someone else to feed it? xD

  • @petrolhead229 you do have to feed them insects, but a adult beaded dragon 80% of its diet is fruits and veg, i get a little creeped out by them but i either wear gloves and feed them to my dragon or put a few in and let him hunt them. just make sure to watch them while feeding because the bugs can bite youre dragon. hope i helped :D

  • My dragon only poos 2 or 3 times a month do any of you think I should worry

  • @ollieh98 YES! it should be doing that a day, take it to the vets and get an x-ray done to look for impaction.

  • @IamMeUareYou thanks for this i have been worried for a while

  • Actually if they become lethargic, especially during the winter, there's no need to worry really. It's probably just brumating.

    .

  • 0:00-0:06

    I love that bearded dragon.

  • Bearded dragons live in a desert environment. Of course they need sand.

  • Is a 2 meter tank big enough for 1 beardie

  • does sands smell??

  • She talks like annoying

  • she said vitamin diffrently

  • @hamsterbot2000 shes british

  • WOW THAT GIVES ME AND MY DRAGON, ZERO, A STRONGER RELATIONSHIP!!!

but seriously this helped me alot.

  • Gmodattic im watching you.

  • i have a couple questions. im not trying to abuse my animal (i havent gotten one yet, im trying to see if a bearded dragon is right for me) how long can they go with out food and just live on water? ive heard everything from a couple days to a couple weeks. also, instead of a lamp, can they have a heading pad underneath if they are in a well lit area?

  • @KeepinThingsIrie They don't absorb heat from underneath their bellies and it'll just burn them. I don't have a Beardie (I'm doing the same thing as you, my research! Good job!) however, I wondered if it was a good idea to put a heat pad along the wall. BDs collect heat mostly from their head so If they're cold they can just go hang out by that wall. BUT, the heat lamp is the best idea by far. As for your other question, I don't know.... I recomend "Bearded Dragon Care" from earthling1984!! Luck

  • @KeepinThingsIrie I wouldn't go with a heated pad. It has the potential to injure the dragon as their underbellies are sensitive to heat. Heating rocks and pads are out of the question really. Just keep parts of the tank at the temperatures you need with lower wattage basking bulbs, one end dedicated as a basking area, the other end of the tank dedicated as a cool area where the dragon can go to cool off.

  • um..do NOT use sand for bearded dragons, it causes impaction which can be fatal

  • @finnvoid nonono. Im sorry but i hate people who say sand is bad for dragons. IT IS NOT. people. Dont lisen to this person. Sand is fine for bearded dragons. End of story.

  • Bottled water, that's hilarious... It's a god damn animal.

  • @KoivuTheHab yeah then why dont you drink fukin lake water??

  • @Godschild9701 I do drink lake water... What kind of idiotic response was that?! Maybe lakes in your country are full of shit? Here lakes and rivers are crystal clear and it's all excellent drinking water.

  • thanx for uploading

  • @brittanybanger he just wanted to make a buck. In gona kill him. Btw can beardies eat corn?

  • How many Pounds is a bearded dragon

  • @cookiemonsterPD98 when ful grown 3/4th of a pound

  • use compact sand.

  • Well a guy at a petstore said it should not stink the poop should not be smelled

  • @ReptigloRand well hes wrong. bearded dragon poop smells like shit haha. its not supposed to smell like flowers

  • I re

  • My bearded dragon has smelly poop please help

  • @ReptigloRand

It is poo so why wouldn't it smell?

  • @ReptigloRand *grabs gun*

  • Is it okay to feed a bearded dragon corn

  • @AbbieLovesMurphy

if they are in your home, they might run around a bit, yes. but its fine to let them roam in ur house. and they will get much bigger than u saw at the pet store. u saw ones that were probably a week or two old. they will get anywhere from 18" to 24". they may be smaller or biggger than that, but that is the general range for there sizes.

  • GUYS NEVER USE CALCIUM SAND, THEY SAY IT'S DIGESTIBLE BUT IT ISNT. What calcium sand does when it's in the beardie, it will clump up and cause impaction FAST. Use some playsand from home depot and was it. That is MUCH better.

  • im getting one soon, wont they run away if they run around a room? i seen some in a pet shop but they were tiny compared to this one. im pretty sure it was about the size of my hand. would it get bigger or stay like that?

  • @AbbieLovesMurphy it will get bigger the ones at the pet stores are babys

  • I'm getting mine Monday. I'm so excited.

  • I'm getting a Bearded Dragon today, just putting It out there. Anyone have any extra advice for me?

  • I personally don't use any kind of substrate for my bearded dragon. I use large pieces of slate which has been measured to fit the tank and has timber underneath for height so he is still close to the uvb and heat light. It's cheap, it looks nice, easy to clean, it keeps his nails down and there is no chance of getting impaction. We all want what is best for our pets and i believe tile or slate is a safe option for them.

  • About how many crickets should u feed a baby? Juvanile? Adult?

  • Use repti carpet not any form of sand

  • calcium sand is like the worst substrate u could use

  • well i thought u onnly need the uvb light aand the red light for night not the uv light

    \

  • @scbs98 i can kill babies because they eat it sometimes and get impaction (really bad constipation) the best thing to do for a baby (say 8 months to a year) is use paper towels or a towel, or this stuff called T-Rex desert snow, the desert snow looks nice, and it dissolves completely in their digestive track.

  • do they need a lot of cleaning?

  • I'm getting my bearded dragon in two weeks. But my vivarium doesn't have many crevaces or things to climb on. It only has a basking rock, a cave and a plastic cactus. Is that ok?

  • @DoctorWhoRocks10000 it is ok but just make sure the tank is big enough

  • @DoctorWhoRocks10000 ye thats fine to be honest i just got some branches from my garden they dont use them often so its not essential

  • No way!! mark amy is on Essex Jungle :)

  • bearded dragons are so awesome!

  • they are awsome pets

  • @jayde Yeah if you get them young, just put them on newspaper or butchers paper for the first 6 months... or even tiles. I am sure they are around sand in the wild but they are in a small cage now and can not run around as much as they do in the wild, and can get impaction more so than in the wild. Yes, I know it is a hot topic.. but see your vet and check..I made a vid on this on my channel as well.

  • I'm getting a Beardie soon, but is it better to get one when they're babies? Or adults......

  • @DoctorWhoRocks10000 get it when its about 5-8 months old so is still quite small but has gone thorugh the growth spurt where feeding him becomes even more expensive, also to save money on food its a good idea to breed crickets or locusts, there are many videos and articles about breeding crickets and locusts on the web

i got my bearded dragon yesterday and i love him :D

  • im worried about my bearded dragon, he's not active at all, he hids in one spot underneath some plants which is underneath his basking light and he just sleeps there all day. Now he is not eating, i dont know what to do. Please help !

  • @bob474100 Take him to a vet straight away. I waited longer than a day because I didn't find a vet specialising on exotic pets. When I finally took my bearded dragon to the clinic, it was too late and he died a day later. Bearded dragons are very, very sensitive and need medical care ASAP. A day may decide between life and death. Wishing you and your dragon all the best.

  • @JaydeScottBooks he's fine now, he just needed to do a really big poo. Basically he was impacted and i gave him a bath and it clearded his impaction. But i had been giving him baths for like every day last week. But now he is back to normal. Thanks for the reply, honestly i really appretiat it :D

  • i have a bearded Dragon at my house :) but i have a bigger cage for it . i bought it at the place its 1668$ :) quite big .

  • :D im gonna be getting a bearded dragon soon cant wait

  • Take that expertvillage!

  • @meee617 right?!?!? Their vid was bloody awful!!

  • @meee617 more like dumbassvillage

  • @meee617 YA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Cool!

  • @scbs98 du relax, use normal sand from the pet shop, then wont die!

  • i would want one but i don't like the locusts thats what puts me off lol

  • i wanted one until it said to feed them live insects

  • @PARTYROCKKOZMO

68f is too cool. the warm side should be about 95f and the cool side at about 80 to 85 with a basking spot of about 105f to 110f

  • what if i keep it at 68 F degrees? how do you know if its a male or female? my dragon is little

  • awesome thx!

  • @rhodeslives not entirely expert village just makes the bids way too short

  • Much better video than expert village

  • i have that water bowl! lol! and i use calsium sand

  • you could use a exo terra cricket disperser thing then there is less of a chance of impactation

  • does calcum sand cause inpacktion?

  • I was thinking about getting a bd and i was wondering if there aggresive and does it hurt if they bite

  • @Antwon5621 it does hurt, but less than most animals like cats or mice. they are not at all aggressive, but they may bite if you agitate them.

  • and where did u get the one in the corner of the cage

  • where didu get the flourecent light fixture

  • @miller7660 ebay, you can get ones made by a company called arcadia i think. the special uv tube bulb you can get from most pet shops

  • @kaleluk31 no like where did u get the flourecent fixture not the light

  • first of all u got a couple things wrong u should'nt feed them evey single day but every other day and some calcium sand is band for them

  • @froggieluv97 Because if the Dragon eats the sand, it has possibility to eat it and become impacted. Especially with mine, it sometimes bites at the ground (it does not mean he has any health problems). If he had sand in his tank, he'd already be impacted or dead.

  • Calcium sand! I know this guy is an expert but he sure got that part screwed up!

  • @ZZincorporated how is it screwed up

  • @ZZincorporated depends at what age, babies never, full grown adults adults maybe

  • @kaleluk31

Yeah, I know that but I'm just saying it wasn't the best idea to reccomend it. He should of at least of said something like; "But calcium sand can sometimes be harmful if your Dragon eats it. Then it could become impacted and possibly die."

  • enjoy ur bearded dragon

  • Do i have to enjoy it or is that an optional step?

  • I have bearded dragon named Fred

  • can these be kept over the winter?

  • @megnaraptor once the winter comes round you have to kill and eat them, the don't like seeing snow, it freaks them out.

  • @megnaraptor YES with proper lightning

  • lol end get good at life

  • everythings all good apart from the dial thermometer they are crap and inaccurate, calci sand is what i use, had no problems with it. its a good substrate

  • So Can I Get Some Food For My Pet's Food's Food?

  • Calcium sand? Did i hear that right? Oh my god...these guys know nothing!

  • i dont think calcium sand is good for babies

  • @Seedot0001

its not, u should put paper towels or newspaper

  • make sure you have food for your pet's food, food for your pet's food's food, and, of course, food for your pet's food's food's food xD
