Very strange for a bat to be out during the day. It must've been lost. Poor little thing probably wasn't too thrilled with people poking at it, either. LOL
we had one in the sauna a few years ago; we opened the door and finally he/she departed. Yours may just be lost 'cause I don't think they leave the nest until evening. Maybe the next was just above him. I hope Nick and Bryan didn't eat him raw. :)
