I have been working for the Vancouver Olympics for over a year now. On Sunday I watched Canada win the gold medal and the chaos that the city became (like nothing I have ever seen in my life).

As I was heading into the closing ceremony I bumped into Bradbury. He was very nice and acted like he was excited to see us and get a photo. I was so happy that I had an Aussie flag with me. His parents were with him and they took photos of us as well.

While I guess you can say he deserves the gold to a degree simply because he was good enough to make the final, it's absolute bullshit that he believes he deserves a Gold Medal for the 12 years he'd been involved competing in the sport. Many athletes go through their careers and have nothing to show for it at the end. This is how it should have ended for Steven.
