@AeroFix94 I got many gaming systems here.. Some people need to test GTS250 that's why I bought that.. We bought HD6870 past week to test Black-ops. The game is finished.. but I am not totally happy with the card. Actually I am a game tester.. :)

Don't worry dude my Core I7 980X with 16GB DDR3 HD5890 starts slower than this :)) My Phenom II X4 965 BE with 4GB DDR2 GTS 250 is little slower in startup when comparing with this Athlon II X2.

OS is : Windows vista ultimate SP2 DX10 32bit (1 Year old installation, Damn I am good in windows security and registry control)

I have 7 ultimate 64bit but I hate to reinstall OS. I am lazy... ;)

Yes, I am sorry friend. You can use AM3 CPU on AM2 or AM2+ board.

But you can't use AM2 or AM2+ CPU on an AM3 board.

You are correct. My OC CPU is similar with 250 for sure.

I wouldn't say that at all. Would you really take an amd 240 over an e8x00 series??? I have a 240 and would definatly choose the intel option. The most important thing is the cache. 1mb (amd) versus 6/8mb (i think).

Hey man, ive been trying to overclock my 240 but nothing works...

Bios, theres no overclock section and the multiplier is locked.

AMD Overdrive, doesnt work, it says it would run if I had 7 series processor...

Can you help me with this ?

Not 7 series processor. You need is 7 series chip set to work with overdrive. ;)

My motherboard have one option to increase core voltage of CPU in my BIOS (American mega trends). I am just increased the core voltage a little to overclock my CPU.

There will not be an option like this if your motherboard is not supporting overclocking.

AMD Athlon II X2 240 is not a shitty processor at all. It have better performance than a core 2 duo 2.8 Ghz in my view.

Can you specify the games , Your PC graphics processing unit(Video card/graphics card) name and type of PC memory (DDR2/DDR3)

Memory is easy to overclock through bios. But I don't know why your CPU overclocking facilities are locked. There is some other software to overclock your CPU. Search for that.

I got a GeForce 9800 GTX 512mb ddr3...

2GB Of Ram...

Ive tried every software to overclock this processor but i cant find any way to make it work...could you give me the name of any program you know that can do this ?

You can overclock you Video card using Riva tuner to improve performance. But for CPU??? AMD cpu's are not safe to overclock outside of BIOS in my view.

Which is your motherboard buddy? and BIOS provider? I feel that I can help you.

Well the gpu is easy to overclock, I do it from Evga precision, but I havent cause i dont have good cooling on my case and when its full working its from 70° to 80°...

And I Got a MSI-K9...motherboard...

Running fine, Games are running smoothly. video card is not an overclocked version. But I prefer NVIDIA GTX series GPU with AMD Athlon II X2 240 processor.

Actual frequency is 2.8 Ghz. I am just overclocked that to 3.0Ghz. More better than 2.8 Ghz.

It's fast enough for money. Works well in my AM2+ socket as well as in AM3.
