Been a while for me but is this the highest you can go to ski at Whiteface? I remember taking an old rickety lift that had a single bar that secured you in your seat. Took you up to what I always thought was the "Summit" But the actual Summit cannot be skiid from right? What you see here is the ski summit. Is that chair that I mentioned still there. Very cold and windy up there:)
i went on the web site because i am planning on going next season, and was intrested in the that same question. according to the mountains website they do permit skiing from the real summit however it is weather permitting, expert only, hike up no lift service, and they said at times (to their discretion) only expert skiers with full slide gear and transponders are allowed
